"If we could have a special rate
for a second child in a family we

Mrs. Black.
At the present time the average
attendance at the Day Care is 24.
Tv deficit last year was about
$3,000 and a deficit is expected
this year. There is MOM for 34
children.
Court of revision was held on
the Layton Drain (Stanley
Township drain). As no objections
were heard the report was
accepted.
Requests for building permits
were granted to Gerrit Wynja, RR
4, Seaforth, implement shed; and.
Albert Visscher, RR 2 Kippen,
liquid manure tank, provided
approval given by Ministry of
Agriculture. • '

be running again. Councillors Roy
Swart and Herb Brown, from the
village of Dublin who' are both
finishing their first term, told the
Expositor that they'll run again
too.

December elections with the
reeve and two councillors
retiring.
Reeve Elgin Thompson,
completing twenty years on
council, 15 of them as reeve,,will
not be seekign re-election.
"I have been seeing about
someone to take ray place. I have
been asked to re-consider and run
as a councillor as they want me
back on A.M.Q. next year (he is
vice-president), Mr. Thompson
said, "but it is pretty hard to sit
on council after you've been
reeve,"
Deputy Reeve Ervin Sillery,
with 15 years' experience on
council, four of them as deputy
reeve, Will run for reeve.
Robert Bell, completing his
first two-year term, will move up
to run for deputy - reeve,
Councillor Cleave Coombs says
he is "not going to run again"

"f should be moving up the
ladder but I don't have the time.
You have to be a free man to be a
reeve today."
Mr. Coombs said be had been
talking to different people in
Egmondville and hopes to get a
representataive from there or
Harpurhey.
Councillor Bert Branderhorst,

"It takes too much time. Seven
meetings in September is too
much. Maybe we have to look for
retired people."
"I have enjoyed council but you
council. The liquor vote will be
held because a petition with the
required ' number of signatures
was presented to the council and
forwarded to the Liquor. Licence
Board of Ontario.

Thomas. That area has been
reduced so that Only one trustee
will be elected from Grey and
Brussels.
Mr.Shortreed told the
Expositor that he will run in
Morris, East Wawanosh and
Blyth, where Mr. Elliott is also
running. "I could run in Grey and
Brussels but Morris is my home
township and that's the
conclusion I've come to," he said
