engineering studies have shown that some of them
contain dangerous flaws which must be corrected

do this with extra money from both the Community
Recreation Centres Act and VVintario. In most
cases, the people in the community need to raise

seem to have inherited his ability

was a trace in his son, George.
Also my brother Arnold and
nephew Donald took as their
major at-University, Science and

It seems to ,me the McKillop
residents were a clanish bunch.
These names come to me as part
of_that friendship circle, Hogg,
Mclntoshs,. Hastie, Kerr,
Dorratce, Scott, Cowan. I have
viVid memories of these folk.

Stewardship was the theme for
the October meeting for the
Walton Unit in the basement of
the church • on Wednesday
evening, with

UNICEF
Ron Godkin gave the Call to
Worship for the' October meeting
of the Mission Band on Sunday
morning, October 10, held in the
basement of the United Church.
Hymn, "Can a little child like
me" was sung assisted by Cathy
McGavin at the piano. Jeanne
McDonald gave a "Thanksgiving
Reading," followed by John
Huether giving prayer.
Cheryl Fraser gave the
secretary's report and Cathy
McGavin followed with the
treasurer's report. A reading was
given on Unicef, then the offering
was received for Unicef and
dedicated by Ron Godkin.
' The ,membetis were, reminded
that gifts' for the Children's Aid
'Society in Goderich should, be
brought . to the November
meeting. 'The Whole wide
World" was sung prior to going
to their classes . with teachers,.

Stewardship" with the discussion
on M & S Funds, .the way it is-
spent, when it is to be sent to
Toronto and what members can
do about it.
The stewardship committee
shoUld draw up a budget for the
year, and certain objectives
should be named where the
U.C.W. money' is sent each year,
they said,
'Mrs. Mac Sholdide 'collected
the offering and it was dediCated,
,Mrs.Hackwell closed this part of
the meeting with a poem. Hymn

Thee." was sung.

Mrs- Walter • Bewley brought
back a report of the Regional
meeting that seventeen of the
'U.C.W: had attended recently at
Northside Uniteu Church,
Seaforth.

the highlights . of the U.C.W.
executive meeting early in the
month: Observers are to be again
purchased for every family.

Guelph spent the recent holiday
weekend at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Coutts.

Frankfort and other points.
