In' my columns during the
spring and summer months, I had
commented' on weather and crop
conditions •here. Some weeks they
did not sound very cheerful, in
fact some farmers were somewhat
concerned and 'worried that the
remaining crops may be lost.
However the few days sunshine
that was needed saved the_
perishable crops and corn for
ensilage is also for the most part
finished.
It has been reported that the
corn now being --harvested for
grain is of an excellent yield but it
will be ,several days, perhaps
weeks, before this will be
completed.
'Looking out th'e window as. I
Write this, I see large flakes of wet
snow falling; perhaps we will
have Indian Stimmer earlier than
' usual this year.
Regardless, I think everyone
will have to agree this has been
an excellent crop year. '
