Ethel. Mrs, James (Eunice)
Aikenhead, of Hensel', Mrs.
Robert (Carol) Hubert, of Sea-
forth; two brothers, Wallace and
Everett, both of St. Marys; a
sister, Mts. Roy (Merle) Leslie, of
London; 21 grandchildren; a
great-granddaughter.
He was predeceased by a son,
Donald, in 1970, and bee brother,
Clayton, in' 1969.
The body was at the Heath-
Leslie Funeral Home in Mitchell
and the funeral service was held
there Wednesday at 2 p.m.
'Burial was in St. Marys
Cemetery.
ANNA CHRISTINA HOWATT
Anna Christina Howatt, 71, of
Londesboro, died Friday in
Clinton Public Hospital.
Mrs. Howatt, the former Anna
Christina Gardiner, was prede-
ceased by her husband Wilmer.
Mrs. Howatt is survived by one
daughter, Mrs, Mac (Helen)
Hodgert of Usborne Township;
three sons, James and Gordon, of
Hullett Township, and John, of
R.R. 5, Stratford; one sister, Mrs.
Heber (Elsie) Shute, of Usborne
Township; three brothers, Jamee.
Gardiner, of Usborne Township,
arid Alex and Robert Gardiner,
both'of Hibbert Township; and 15
grandchildren.
Services were held Sunday at
the Tasker Funeral Home in
Blyth.
Burial followed in Hope Chapel
Cemetery in Hullett Township.
was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers wer: six sons, Joseph,
Jerry, Jerome, Cyril, Ronald and
Arthur Murray.

Funeral services for Ann Mary
Noble, who died September 28,
were conducted at St. James'
Roman Catholic Church, Seaforth
by Rete H. J. Laragh on Friday,
October 1.
A daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Nobel, 83 Jarvis Street,
Seaforth, she is survived by her
parents, a daughter Christina
Anita, sisters Mary, Mrs. Ronald'
Beuerman, Seaforth , Joan,
London, Deanna, Jacquelilne and
brother Gerald , all at home. Her
grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
Hendrik,. Koster of Holland also
survive.
Interment 'followed in
St. James' Roman Caeholic
Cemetery when the, pallbearers

Beuttenmiller, Peter Loomans,
Reg. Dick, David De Vries, Gerry

MRS. LOUIS KRAUSKOPF
Mrs. Louis Krauskopf, 99, of
Dublin, died at the Smith Nursing
Home in Mitchell on Saturday.
She was the former Catherine
O'Rourke, a daughter of the 'late
William O'Rourke and the former
Bridget Manning of McKillop
Township.
Following her marriage to.
Louis Krauskopf in Dublin in
1908, the -couple farmed in
McKillop Township until retiring
to Dublin in 1943. Mr. Krauskopf
died ifi 1944.
Mrs. Krauskopf was a member
of the Catholic Women's League.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.
Hogan (Marie) Ritchie of Fergus;
a son, James J. of 69 Charles St.,
Stratford, and by 4 grandchild-
ren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Krauskopf was predeceased
by one son and one daughter.
The body was at the R,S. Box
Funeral Home in Seaforth.
Funeral mass was held at St.
Patrick's Roman Catholic ,Church
in Dublin on Tuesday at 10:30
a.m. with Rev. Joseph O'Rourke
officiating.
Burial was in the church
cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Frank
Cronin, ,Thomas Dorsey, Joseph
Dorsey, Sylvester Flannery,
Michael McLaughlin and Jack
Flannery,
St John brigade
needs members
The first monthly meeting of
Seaforth's new St. John
Ambulance Brigade was held
Thursday night in the town hall.
Guest speaker was Garry Renaud
of the Goderich Detachment
which is in charge of the Seaforth'
Branch. They discussed t,Jze
meeting set up for each mohth
and have elected Betty Glanville
as secretary.
Topics of discussion were do's
and dont's of a St. John member,
other courses coming up, the
receiving of uniforms and special
events with which the, new
Seaforth 'Branch will be
involved. They closed the
meeting by swing the next get
together would be October 14 at
8:00 p.m. in lower library, with
hopes that many mroe new

The snowplowing tender of
Ryan Bulldozing of Walton was
accepted by McKillop Township
Council Monday. The tender is
for a 150 horsepower grader at
the rate of $20 per hour with
standby pay of $10 per day to run
from December 1 to March 31.
The tender -for the removal of
snow from the 107 miles of
McKillop roads is subject to the
approval of the Ministry of
Transportation and
Communications.
Council endorsed a resolution
from the Township of West
Carleton requesting -the Ministry
of Energy to instruct Ontario
Hydro that poles be located
approximately three feet from
property lines.
Passed for payment were road
vouchers for $3,738.18 and
general account vouchers for
$20,280.11.
Council learned that advance
polls for the municipal election
December 6 will be held
November 27, Nominations must
be filed between November H —
and November 15,
Requests for building permits
were approved for: Ralph
McNichol, R.R. 4, Walton,
renovations to pig barn; Ken
Beattie,..R.R. 4,, Walton, siding on
barn; 'Olen McClure, R.R. 1,

Arena
tenders
Tenders were awarded for
the renovations to 'the Seaforth
arena last Wednesday night and
construction of an addition and
new washrooms, dressing rooms,
an equipment room and improved
upstairs hall should start before
the end of October.
The tender, for $186, 929 , was
awarded to Van Bussel-
construction of Lucan, whose bid
was about $6,000 lower than epie

The Huron County Director of
Education' told the Board at its
meeting on Monday afternoon
that the interim report on a
feasibility study on adoptingof a
formal system of performance
review 'for board employees has',
been delayed. _
The Education Committee of
the Board had recommended in
the spring that work begin on
such a study and the Director of
Education was asked to present
an interim report at the October
1976 meeting of the Board,
Mr. Cochrane, in a brief report
submitted to the meeting, told the
Board, that he had spent 'a good
portiOn of the summer gathering
and reading material pertaining
MRS. JOHN E. MURRAY
Mrs. John E. Murray, 76, of
Dublin, died at her home in
Dublin on Wednesday.
She was the former Melva C.
Eckert, a daughter of the late•
Fred -Eckert and Mary Ellen
Dantzer of McKillop Township.
she married John Murray in
Dublin in 1925, and they farmed
for 39 yearLin McKillop before
retiring to Dublin in 1967. Mr-
Murray died in 1964.
A member of St. Patrick's
Roman Catholic Church Dublin,
she was active in the Catholic
Women's League and the Right to
Life organization.
Surviving are three daughters,
Mts. Joe (Mary Ellen) Delaney of
Dublin, Mrs. Joe (Helen) Nolan of
St. Columban, and Mrs. Gordon
(Beatrice) Costello of Kingston;
six sons, Joseph G. of Kitchener,
Jerry J. of Dublin, Jerome F. of
Logan Township, Cyril M. of
Waterloo, Ronald M. and Arthur
B. both of Dublin; three sisters,
Mrs. Leo (Vera) McKay of
Detroit, Mrs. Albert (Eileen)
Cronin and Mrs. James (Agens)
McQuaid, both orSt. Columban.
She was predeceased by two
sisters, Mrs. Mary Horan and
Cecilia, and a brother, John A.
Also surviving are 37 grand-
children and two great-
grandchildren.
The body was at the R.S.Box
funeral home in Seaforth. The
service was from St. Patrick's
Roman Catholic Church in Dublin
at 10 a.m. Saturday with Rev.
Gordon dill officiating. Burial --members will be present.
