BLAKE -- FRASER
On Friday evening, September 3, Dianne Fraser and' Philip
Blake were united in marriage during a candelight service at St.
Ambrose Church, Brussels. Father Nolan and Rev. Ed. Baker
officiated at the double -ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs.Doug. Fraser, R.R.#2, Blyth, and the groom's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. George Blake, R.R.#2, Brussels. Mrs.
Rose Loomans, Seaforth, was matron of honour. Bridesmaids
were Miss Cheryl Fraser and Mrs. Carolyn Sullivan, sisters of
the bride, and Miss Julie Blake and Miss Joyce Blake, sisters of
of the groom. Piet Loomans, Seaforth, was groomsman. Ushers
were Clayton Fraser, brother of the bride, Bob Blake and Jim
Blake, brothers of the groom, and Bruce McDonald, Kitchener.
Soloists were Dena and Deb Wey, and the organist was Mrs. Ian
Wilbee. The wedding reception was held at Brodhagen
Community Centre. Guests were present from London,
Kitchener, Cambridge, Toronto, Chatham, London, England,
Brussels, Seaforth and surrounding communites. Following a
wedding trip to Quebec City, the couple are residing at 75 Old
Chicopee: Road, #9, Kitchener, Ontario.'

At the first fall meeting of-

Smith read an interesting essay
on the life of the late It Isobel
Grahatn, written by Donald Shaw,
son of the late Neil Shaw, for
many years a minister of
Egmondville Church. Miss Gra-
ham's father was one of the

Harry hear was guest soloist
at the Sunday morning chapel
,service and was accompanied at
the organ by his wife, Gail. The
Service was conducted by the
Chaplain, Rev. McWhinnie, with
Doug Crich at the organ.
Marie Flynn, Norman Speir
and Lorne Lawson provided the
old tyme music for Monday's
activities. Three new residnets
were welcomed to the Home:
Mrs. Underwood, Wingham, and
Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Love, Of
Hensall. The special guest for the

earliest ministers, of the first
ggtlnondville Kirk and his daugh-
ter Hannah Isobel was the first
church organist to follow the last
precentor.
Miss Graham inheritet} her love
for music. poetry and .apprecia-
tion of arts from be late mother,
the former Elizabeth Gouinlock.

by reading the poem;

Vancouver B.C., a native of
Tuckersmith, and an active
volunteer worker in his home
community. The Clinton Christian
Reform Volunteers assisted
"The Pathfinders", a group of
seven girls from the Blyth
Christlan Reform Church,
entertained on Family Night with
gospel music. The girls sang
several of the older hymns taking
different parts and in harmony --
the -favourite being the old
spiritual "Steal Away"-. The
singers were Darlene Wesselink,
Joanne Bakelaar, Jenny Reinink, •

Emmy Monkes, Jo -Ann
Passchier, Anita and Jenny
Datema. Miss Pearl Gidley
expressed the appreciation of the
residents.
The Crediton Women's
Institute were hosts for the
September birthday party. Mrs.
Norman Eveland was emcee for
the afternoon. Mrs. Don
Finkbeiner, Lois Hodginsy,� Otis
Sawyer, Ross and Nola Love
provided the program. Gifts were
presented to the twenty-seven
celebrants •

Mrs. Ken Carnochan very ably
lead the devotions entitled The
Lords Return. Mrs. Roy
McGonigle and Mrs. Erlin Whit-
more read scripture portions.
Mrs. Russell Miller read an
interesting reading ''Life sends a
Bill."
Mrs. Earl Papple chaired the
business -of the meeting which
included a. Huron Perth Presby-
terial "Alert" flyer from the May
2b eeting held at Kitkton. An
invitation to the 15th Huron -Perth
Pres�fyterial East Huron Regional
Rally at North Side Church,
Seaforth on Tuesday, October 5 at
7 • p.m. Thetne - of Mission and
Music.

The chapel of Timothy Eaton.
MemorialChurch, Toronto was
the scene of a pretty wedding on
September 18th when William
Lapslee Smith and Esme Wales
were united in marriage.
Following ` the wedding the
party which included friends and.
relatives, were entertained at the
home of the groom's son, Garry
Smith.
Guests attended from Toronto,Ei
Seaforth and New York state.

Patricia Wilson, Matron of honor.
The Rev. D. P. Plaskett was the '
officiating clergyman.
The bride and groom left for
London, England enro.ute to
Nairobi, Kenya, Africa.
MURRAY — SHEA
Sharon Shea, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Shea, R.R.#5,
Seaforth and Danny Murray, son of Mr. and Mrs.Frank Murray,
R.R.#4, Waltbn, were united in marriage on July 17 at St.
Columban Church, St. Columban. Rev. Fr. Oostveen performed
the double ring ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her
father, was attended by her sister Anne Murray as maid of
honour. Bridesmaids were Mary Cushing of Elora, Joanne
Coyne, Stratford; Colleen Murray, sister of the groom, and Betty
Upshall, sister of the bride. The groom was attended by his
brother Tom M urray. Ushers wer Brian Murray, brother of the
groom; Tom Melady; R.R.#2, Dublin; Kerin Shea, brother of the
bride, and Brad Finlayson, London. The organist was Cathy
Murray and soloist was Larry Murray. After a wedding trip to
Eastern Canada, the couple are residing at R.R.#4,. Walton. -
