lights have been erected and soon
will be ready for use. If weather

committee members, ball coaches
and urnphles will challenge the.

of Port of Spain, Trinidad visited on the . weekend
With Dr. and Mrs. C.E. Toll. Miss Ramball, senior
nurse in the dental clinic at Port 0 Spain Community
Hospital, worked with Dr; Toll there in February.
While in Seaforth she met Dr.. Roll's Seaforth dental
astistant,. Zena Chapman ,of Egmondville. Miss
Ram bal, who visited relatives in Ottawa and Toronto,
was impressed with Canada but not with SUnday and
Monday's cool weather. She is used to a mild 85-90

2nd at Hully Gully with music by
the Royalaires. Please watch next
week's "coming events" for
particulars. Tickets go fast for
these dances, so please speak for
yours early. The draw for the quilt
will he made at the dance, so if
you haven't got yours yet, there
isn't much time left. Anyone who
sold tickets, please hand them in
before the dance.
The play-offs are on for' girls

Shop on Tuesday evening August
24, when 2 MC Dryers service
men from Crystal Lake,
gave an informative. talk ' 'to
owners living anywhere from
Niagara Penninsula to Organville.
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Horton .
and -family returned home after
holidaying for two weeks with
cousins in Albtrta. • .
Mr. Herbert (Bert) Dorton has
recently retired from the
Dominion Automobile
• Association after many years of
service. Mr. Horkon was held in
high regard not only by the
Association but by his members
alike. Mr. Charles Wilson has
been appointed to enroll new
Members and look after the
former agency of Mr. Horton.
Mrs. Hilda Beer has returned
to her home after holidaying fur a
number , of weeks with her
daughter and son-in-law and
family Mr. and Mrs. Ralph
MacArthur in Edmonton and also
with her grandson David Beer,
RCMP and Mrs. Beer in British
Columbia.
Little Jodi Horton: returned to
her home after holidaying with
her grandparents, mr. and Mrs.
Bert Horton. .

celebrated their 50th wedding
in 'The afternoon when a large
number of neighbours and friends

attended by twenty-five members
of their family. The table was
decorated with summer flowers
and centred with the anniversary
cake. ,Mr. and Mrs., Clark
received many beautiful gifts.
Mrs. Hilda Beer returned home
after,, holidaying with her
daugter and son-in-law Mr. and
Mrs. Ralph MacAtuhur and
family in Edmonton and with her
grand-son Mr. David Beer,
R.C.M.P. and Mrs. Beer in
Vancouver B.C.
Mrs. Inez McEwen who had the
misfortune to fall at her home
recently and fractured her. hip , is
convalescing in Seaforth
Community Hospital. Her many
friends wish her a speedy
recovery.,
United Church Services in
Hensall were resumed last
Sunday with Rev. Don Beck 'in
charge, 'preaching oh, "It's Time
to Serve the Meal" and dwelt
mainly on the need for
compassion. Mrs. John Turk13„eim

Norman Walper and Bob Russell

Called up Yonder" and "Seeking
the Lost".
Hensall Women's Institute will
resume their meetings in the
Legion Hall on Wednesday,.
September 8 at 7 p.m. with a
pot-luck supper. The topic' is
' "Highlights of the National
'Convention." All 'women in the
area are welcome.
