The ladies team engaged the umpires and with a little bribery had no trouble winning. After. the game the teams enjoyed a corn roast at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Elligsen Friday evening. Howard Famme and family of Seebach's Hill last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Wilson treated their daughter Lesley who enjoyed the sights of Niagara Falls on Thursday. Mr. and MrS: LaVernWolfe attended decoration day at See- bach's Hill, the later's home church and visited with Mrs. Michael Connally, Watburg. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Dietz spent a week up north near Cochrane at Timberlane Lodge accompaning them were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Higgins and Jodine, Stratford and Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Higgins Mitchell. Master David Quincey who spent the weekend with his uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Fischer and cousins Gay and Mark has returned home to New Jersey. His grandmother Mrs.' Martin Diegel,Shakespearewas at the same home. Guests with Mr. and Mrs. Win. Brown were their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Kettlewell, Janet and Elaine Strathroy. They attended the St. Marys Canoe races. Another family from here has returned home safely Mr. and Mrs, Harvey Ahrens, Marilyn and Steven enjoyed touring for four weeks as far as the_ west coast. Sympathy is expressed to the family brothers and sisters of the late Mr. Thomas Herbert Gaff- ney, Stratford who passed away in the General Hospital. He was formerly from the 12th of Logan where he grew up. His brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gaffney are on the home place. Mr s Ford. Dickinson and Glenda who has returned home from . We are sorry to hear Gerald Preistap is confined to St. Jo- seph's Hospital, London owing to surgery for the removal of a kidney. We wish him a speedy recoyery. Mr. Eckert is originally from Seaforth and has many friends and relatives in this area. His mother, Mrs. Geraldine Eckert, resides in Oakville. He is improving steadily but he will be in hospital for quite a while, said Joe Hart, Mr. McCarthy's uncle. So we urge you as a motorist to drive.with extra care whenever you see a school bus in front of you or coming towards you. You will recognize the school bus by its chrome-yellow colour. And whenever it flashes its alternating red signal lights front and rear, you must stop. In fact,'all traffic , from both directions must stop. This is true everywhere in Ontario...on highways, country roads, and city, town or village streets, and regardless of the speed limit. The penalty for disobeying this law is a fine of up to $100 and 4 demerit points. The only exception IS for motorists goi6g in the opposite direction from the school bus on the other side 'of a' multi-lane highway divided by a physical barrier.
