After only two practice games,
Monday July 26 saw them in the
thick of things down in Sarnia,,
• playing . the • pick of Lambton
County, excluding Sarnia city, in
' the Border Cup, run. by the
Michigan ,.junior Soccer
Association.
For theOrst game the "Flyers"
were without the five boys from
Seaforth and Jim Fleming of
'Clinton was on the sideline, sick.
But with only 14 boys dressed,
they--went to town.
The :Huron Flyers started the
game a little on edge and missed
three, or four goals before Dave
Murray of St. Columban opened
the scoring with "about It minutes
left in the first half. Karl Krohmer
of Goderich added another got

In the second half Sean Van
Dongen Of Clinton scored one in
the first minute. The Flyers

members of the Mitchell Lawn
Bowling Club, at their weekly
jitney.
Earlier nineteen members of
Seaforth were present for a
delicious potluck supper at the
Club House.
Top prize winners were Sandy
Pepper of the Seaforth Club with
2W & 29 and Tom Colqnhoun of
Mitchell also with 2W & 29.

tested, which was not too often.

evening.

Monday Aug. '2 will be mixed
doubles in ..Goderich. Next Wed-
nesday, Augar4., the Seaford'
arehaving a tournament in
ladies doubles and they hope for a
good turnout of their members.
