The 37th Annual Thomson Clan
reunion was held at Harbour.
Park, Goderich on July 18 with 57
members attending. It .was a
beautiful day, in a very ideal
place and everyone enjoyed the
delicious . smorgasbord lunch
convened by Dorothy and Bill,
Chase. A short business meeting
followed with Norm Stanlake
presiding welcoming all present.
A minute's silence was held in
respectful memory of 2 older
.members, Robert Thomson, tip-
pen and Wellington Good,
Auburn and Blyth who had
passed on during the year.
A letter of greeting's "To the
Thoinson Cousins" from Eleanor
Fisher and Hazel Chance of
Winnipeg, Man. was read follow-,
ing the reading of the, minutes of
the last year's Meeting by secret-
ary Mary parsons.
Hannah Miller gave a report of
the progress made with the
"History V the Thornsons" arid
asked for those who wished a
copy to let any of the committee
know. There is still more work to
do.
During, the afternoon, Audrey
Vorstenbosch .supervised the
races and games. The winners are

A Hensall girl Sharon Wadel
walked off with first prize at the
Ontario Centre Music League
Festival held at the University of
Guelph over the ..weekend.
Sharon, aged 11 was chosen
from a class of 21 contestants and
won the adjudicators' award in
the accordion solo class. She is
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence Wadel. •
The awards were presented at a
concert in the Guelph University
Centre, Sunday evening.
Sharon's teacher is Mrs. Diane
Stevenson of Clinton.

Beck in the pulpit and Mrs. John
Turkheim at the. organ. The
subject of the sermon was "Ac-
complishing all Things." They
were joined by John Blackwell at
the piano "Morning has Broken"
and "Adagio Cantabile" by
Beethoven were played for inter-
ludes. Next week, both con-
gregations will meet at the
Presbyterian Church at 10:00
a.m.
