Landing. The only way to get
there is by ferry. They also
enjoyed the Calgary Stampede .
On their way home they visited
with their uncle and aunts Mr.
and Mrs. „John Eisler and family;
Mrs. Fred Eisler and family in
Scouris, Manitoba.
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Van Vlack,
Rick, Paula and Obie visited with
the- latter's brother and sister-in-
law Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Gray-and
family in Kitchener recently.
Kari Schuessler conducted the
Sunday morning service at St.
Peters Lutheran Church in the
absence of Rev. Horst.
Thomas Hannon passed away
Wednesday in Stratford General
Hospital. The funeral was held on
Saturday. Sympathy goes to his
two daughters; Miss Joan Han-
non; (Margaret) Mrs. Ervin
Leonhardt; son-in-law Ervin

Thos. Murray has returned to
Northern Alberta, where he has
been engaged in- oil explorations
in the N.W. Territories-
Brother Joseph of St. Johns
School spent a few days with Mr.
and Ws. Vine Lane.
Mr. and Mrs. John O'Leary
and family have recently returned
from a months holidays in the
western provinces visiting rel-
atives in Calgary and Victoria
B.C. They report some wonderful
sights and experiences, on their
trip both going and returning.

from thpse-connected with Minor
Soccer, If those involved would
contact me perhaps it would help
to keep St. Columban's name on
the soccer map. It has always
been noted as the soccer town of
western Ontario and- as well the
boys like to see their activities in
'print.

If you drive around the country
roads in this locality you will have
to admit the crops of everthing
looks exceptionally good. Harvest
of early, barley and fall wheat ate
ready and some are hard at it,
I have no reports on the yields,
but would expect them to be
above average. We were fort-
unate to have missed the severe
storms that passed through 20
miles to the south and north, that
flattened crops and caused con-
siderable other damage. Shall we
say, so far so good.
