Brian Murray scored the
winning goal with only 6 minutes
to play to lead St. Columban to a
3-2 win over the first place Delhi
Royals. This was a crucial game
for the local squad as they strive
• to regain the first place position
and promotion to the' Second
Division for next season.
A standout performance was
needed by all players in order to
overcome the strong and talented
Delhi team. There was very little
to choose between the two teams
as the final score would indicate.
Before Murray's winning tally,
St ,Columban took a one goal lead
on goals by Casey Van Bake! and
Gord Dick. However both times
Delhi came back and evened the
score within 5 minutes, and after
the third goal pressed to the
attack again with St Columban

Henson wants
more info on day
care deficit
Hensall council will be asking information regarding a request
Tuckersmith township ' for more for payment of $5.62 for a Hensall
child atending the Day Care
Centre at Vanastra.
The bill was for the months of
April and May but council was not
aware of any local participation in
the program.
Councillor Harold Knight
commented, "This looks as if it
could be our share of a deficit
similar to what we pay to the
Exeter Senior Citizens Home for
Hensall residents."
Knight continued, "Day Care
Centres seem to be the up and
coming thing. The government
seems to be pushing them."
