back to score the, convincing win.
Both teams made.. several '
miscues and looked sloppy in the
field but the Texaco nine teak
advantage of miscues 'to. score
several unearned runs and
continue to remain undefeated.
Everyone on the Texaco nine
collected at least one hit as they
rallied to a twenty-seven hit
attack. After a disastrous first two
innings, the Duffers settled dam
and limited the Villagers to
fifteen hits with only five coming
after the first two innings.
The Queens kept pace and .set
the stage for- next week's contest
as they struggled to a hard fought
7-3 win over a strong Turf Club
nine. The Queens took an early
lead and had to plays heads up
ball to hold on as both teams were
determined. The Turf Club just
couldn't find the holes as the
Queens played an excellent
• defensive game and remain only
one point back of the Texaco nine.,
- The loss evened the Turf Club's
record at 2 and 2. with a g4me in

as the pitchers had a bad night,
The pace was set in the first
inning as both teams went '
through their batting order twice
and even three times. The first
inning saw Mainstreet in front

marathon game.
The victory was Mainstreet's
first this season while the loss put
the Travellers record at 1-3-1 as
they were missing key players.
Both teams looked anything but
