School on ,. Tuesday, April 20, with the reeve, John Raker in the chair. The Huron, County Plan is a general plan 'for the whole county and in that plan suggests that Hensall may become a growth area should the community desire such `u change. A plan of Hensall drawn up for the meeting showed that Hensall is "bulging" at the seams in such areas as residential. industrial 'arid commercial. A .Secondary Plan would 'provide a blue print for the future by designating future roads, see ers, parks, industrial areas, etc. Roman Dz us , assistant to County Planner Gary Davidson gave an outline of the general research undertaken 'for the background of the -Secondary Plan; specific research*Will be detailed to later workshops. Two types of information was used for - this general plan, charts and maps. These show the physical and • economist factors to be considered in different subject areas. Are more parking spaces needed, does Hensall need an industrial park and•other specifics planned. Is Hensall preserving- her heritage? Pubticevalues„ and opinions on all these points are needed to produce the best possible future for Hensall. Sewers presently being built will allow smaller house lots and are eliciting frequent inquiries from developers. I f growth is desired, the secondary Plan can create conditions agreeable to growth. A letter from the Historical Society was read giving dates' of forthcoming meetings at Londes- boro on April 15 and at Varna on May 19 and mentioning that an Historical contest will be held at local fairs again this year. Jessie McAllister, reported on the South Huron District Board Meeting held in Hensall on April 6. The District Annual will be held at Seniors Play Euchre The Three Links, Senior Citi- zens Club, met on Tuesday evening, April 13 for an evening of euchre. Eight tables. were in play.
