Robinis . at

A plump robin flew to the
flowering crabapple tree by my
window this week, In any
ordinary spring I would say
spring has officially arived but
this year I'm afraid to say so, lest
there is a fall of at least a
centimetre of snow overnight and
the ground will be white again.
Even so I decided on the one or
two days, the ground was so dull
and drab. I almost welcomed the
white covering again. I always
have been a lover of Winter and to
one who is unable to enjoy its
conveniences I'll say, to one who
is confined, it wasn't so bad.
In our town we were favoured
as we mostly had hydro and cars
seemed to be able to cope around
town. Perhaps we'll enjoy spring
all the mtreP4uhen we know it is
safely a....fa.e I can remember
snow in,July bu nature dealt, with
that. Old'Sol' ok over and it
didn't last a.day. u1y 2 that year I
was studying for Upper School
exams.
This week we had some special
visitors, Andrea 5 and Jason Muir
2, grandchildren of Mrs. Doris
Muir, Their aunt Jan Muir
brought them the home.
Andrea ,is in kindergarten at
SPS. She recited Sing a song of
sixpence and did a dance for us
which she called "A Shave and a
hair-cut". Jason did a few steps
of his• own shyly, after much
coaxing. It is refreshing to see the
young children in action.

GREAT WEATHER FOR A DUCK — The duck in the foreground is called Donald.
Behind him are his three wives. Donald is an unusual duck who l' as lived on the
farm of Kathy and Wayne Hoegy, R.R.1, Dublin for theee years. He follows the
Hoegy family around and likes to be thrown up in the air or to have someone shake
his beak. Donald thinks he is pretty special, Kathy Hoegy says, or did until the
Hoegys bought some geese. Having to compete with the strutting geese has been a
hard blow for Donald, who now spends his days swimming quietly In the duck pond.
