Julie 1,)n, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Carter, R.R.#2, Seaforth, was baptized Sunday morning at First Presbyterian Church' with Rev. E.G,Nelson officiating. Her grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Brown, 43 Jarvis St., Seaforth and Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Carter, R,R.#2, Seaforth. Mr. and Mrs. George Howatt have returned from spending winter months at Lakeland, Florida. Mr. Alfred Price received word of the death of his brother Charles Price of England. Ray and Leona Anstett returned home Monday after 10 days .in Bermuda, The tour was sponsored by CKNX radio. Miss Janet Cluff has returned from a visit to Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Carter and Todd have returned to' their home in Shearwater, Nova Scotia. Rev. J. Ore and Mrs. Stewart were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Eggert of Rostock. Mrs. Cleave Coombs, Egmondville had surgery in Seaforth Community Hospital on her leg after she fell and hurt it. Her friends, relatives and neighbours will be glad she has returned to her home. Conference Room, ground floor) forthe purpose of receiving the annual reports of the Board of, Ttees arid Of the Officials and to elect four Trustees. The public is' invited to attend . The by-laws of Seaforth Community Hospital provide that the board of trustees shall include 12 trustees to be elected by members of the hospital corporation. —MEMBERSHIP — The by-laws provide with respect to members as follows: (1) The following personi shall be members upon resolution of the Board: (a) A person who has donated or who donates $500.00 in any one year to the' Corporation shall be a life member. (b) The president or designated officer of an association or organization who pays the Corporation $25.00 in any year shall he an ex officio member of the Corporation for that year. (c) A person who pays the annual membership fee to the Corporation in any year shall -be a member of the Corporation for that year. The amount of this fee shall be established from time to time by resolution of the Board of T( dr )11 spt ee re ss. 0 Persons appointed honorary members shall not be subject to fees. (2) A member who pays his fees annually shall not be entitled to vote at any meeting of the corporation unless his membership fee was paid in full at least thirty days prior to the date of the meeting. READY, GO — A mens race is just setting off and some junior competitors are ready next to the bank to line-up for their event at the Optimists canoe race on All 7$ canoeists finished a tough Bayfield River course in the fourth annual Seaforth Optimists canoe race on Sunday. Eight amateur. and advanced class races started at the Van Egmond House in Egmondville and ended at the Vanastra bridge. 'The only mishap occurred when a tree fell across the river and damaged one of ' the racer's canoes. The bright, sunny wea- ther was ideal for canoeing. A booth operated by Optimists Gord Hulley, Martin Murray, Glenn McNichol; Doug Smale and their wives did 'a booming 'busi-- ness, serving 120 breakfasts before the races started. A draw for a 14-=foot canoe was, won .by Doug Ramsay of Strath- roy,, a participant in the races and member of the Ontario Canoe Joint euchre held 40S. *0 Fourteen tables were in play when Fidelity Lodge 100F and Edelweiss REbtekah Lodge held a joint euchre Wednesday C' Seaforth evening.
