stra and District 50/50 Lions Club
Draw. Ruth donated $50 to the

much of our progress in Vanastra
can be attributed to hard working
° volunteers. Remember the first
persons come to Vanastra in
February 1972.
Let's look at some of our activei
volunteers.
Brownies volunteer leaders are

Robinson, Tawny Owl. Cheryl
Deneau, Fluffy Owl.
Volunteer Girl Guide leaders
are: Guide captain, Glenda Gard-
iner. Lieutenant, Ruth Gates.
For the Boy Cubs Vanastra
leaders are; Bernice Gibson at
482-3742, Dunca DeGroot, Mary
Leduc.
Leaders of these clubsmust be
interested in children and unsel-
fish with their time.
The Tuckersmith Vanastra Day
Care is operated daily by three
qualified friendly ladies. Behind
the scenes there is ,a group of
directors 'who volunteet their time
to Day Care. Directors are Art —"
Forler, Diane Black, Mary Rod-
gerson , Doris Cantelon, Bev.
Falconer. Tuckersmith Township
councillors, Cleave Coombs and
Burt Vanderhorst.
The Vanastra Community
Association was formed by Vice
Fowlie who became the first
association president. Following
