Last week the mighty forces fronted by King Kenny II nipped the Blues 5-3 to win the first- big battle in their march to the promised land. ,,The victory gives the Kings the lead in' the niini series, I-0. The Blues had not faced a foe in close to a month and the Kings were just too hot to handle...for two.• periods at least.' Only in the third did the Blues show signs of the fire power that they had demonstrated all season long. Dale Kennedy,' Jerry Feeny, Ken Wright, and Murray Con- nelly combined to produce a wide 4-0 lead before the Blues would find the Range. Art StrOng's forces fired 3 goals past Jerry Cooper in the third period. The Kings replied once. Ben Akker, Bill Teall and Pat Connelly scored the three Blues goals with Ken Doig getting the fifth King score., The long lay off obviously hurt the Blues while the Kings are just rolling along whipping everything in sight.
