IT IS GOOD ,Joe Ryan, left and Allan O'Reilly told the parents who visited their
ciaSsroom about Swiss food, including Swiss fondue, as .part of their study of
Switzerland. Allan knew the recipe and Joe told .how to, dunk pieces of bread in the
fondue and eat it. While learning their Swiss geography and history, the students
have learned a lot about ordinary life in the mountain country. •

In the absence- of the pastor,
Mrs. Robert Robinson conducted
the. Bible study based on the
Second Commandment; in
conclusion the ladies decided to
write a letter to the media and
sign a petition to refrain from
using profane language and
practise the same in the home.
The hymn "I Lay •my . sins, on
Jesus" was sung. • •
A series of slides ' and'
commentary eoncern,ing the work
of the Women's Auxiliary of
Waterloo ,. Lutheran Seminary
were presented by Mrs. Mervyn
Leonhardt and Mrs. Harold
Elligson; with an appeal for
donations and membership
encouraged.
Mrs,Edgar Elligson presided
over the business., A minutes
silence was observed follOwed by
Mrs. Horst playing "What a
Friend we have in Jesus", in
tribute to a former member the
late Mrs. Lavina Beuermann.
....Eighteen members and four
visitors answered roll call.. The
nnutes'• and correspondence
were read by .Mrs. Edwin
Sch'erbarth, also several -thank
you notes, General treasurer and
mission treasurer's sports were
-given.
Mrs. Edgar Elligson was
named delegate with Mrs. Albert
Bauer alternative to , the
Bieannual L.C.W. Conk ention to
be held in , Waterloo in May.
Quilting prices were discussed
and raised in comparison of
today's rates.
Final plans were made for
World Day of Prayer Service to he
held at Brodhagen 'on Friday.

Columban parishes as guests.
Everyone welcome,. Visiting
committees reported several calls
made. Birthdays were reported
by Mrs. Robert Beuermann. Mrs.

Me" in their honour.

''Geary" Drainage Works was
discussed at the regular meeting
of the council of the Township of
Flibbert on Monday. The
petitioner was not happy. with the
plan as suggested, and asked that
co sideration be given to other
w; ys of .improving it. The clerk

open workinstead of closed work.
The Drainage report was to be
held pending a decision.
Permission was sought ,for the
construction of a new house, and
the temporary installation of a
trailer. Both met with council
approval, and it was
recommended that the Mitchell
Planning Board permission be
sought.

2nd to the 5th.
A grant of $50 and $4.00. per
calf was made to the Hensall South
Huron Fair for 1976, and $350 to
the Town of Seaforth for 1975/76 ,
to help defray the arena deficit..

examined.
The hour being late, it was
decided,to hold a special meeting
later in the month to establish
road budget, and consider tile
drainage loans, in light • of the
constraints imposed by` the
Provinc4r1 Government in this
field.
