united in marriage recently in
Walton United Church with Rev.
Ed, Raker. officiating.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs.Harold McCallum of
Walton and Mrs: Martha Hare of
Listowel is the mother of the
groom.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father and mother, chose a
floor-length white gown 'with a
high neckline, consisting, of lace
to the waist, and long lace puffy.

The organist was Mrs.. Ian
Wilbee and soloist Mr. Graeme
Craig of Walton.

bride was maid of honor and
bridesmaids were Mrs. Dianne
McCallum, sister-in-law of the
bride., Kathy Dalton, Londesboro,
friend' of the'bride, and.Cris Hare,
sister of the groom. They wore
two-tone green polyester gowns.
They carried fan shaped bouquets
similar-to that of the bride.
Paul McCallum of Walton,
"brother of the bride, was. best
man. Ushers were Ron McCallum
of Walton, also brother .of the
bride, Harley Hare, Kitchener
and Peter Hare, brothers of the
„,groom. They wore dark green
tuxedoes with pale green shirts. •
A reception followed in the
Listowel audiforium. The bride's. '
mother chose a floor-length gown
inf.tirnsyn,and beige tones .with a
'White .shavd and a gold corsage.
The groom's mother wore a short
mauve dress with a pink corsage.
• For travelling the bride chose a
flowered two-piece suit with long
sleeves and below the. knee skirt.
The couple will reside at 566

bride, the former Elizabeth Ann
Elligsen. are making their home at
Silver Creek Mobile Homes,
R.R.4, Orillia following a
honeymoon trip to Pompano
Beach, Florida. They were united
in marriage 'recently' at Faith
Temple, Orillia.
Rev. Alice Higginson
officiated. Wedding music was
provided by Brian Harris of RR.2,
Orillia who sang and played the
guitar,

R.R.4, Walton and the
bridegroom'is' the son of Mr. and

Given in marriage by her
father. the bride Wore a full-
length gown of white polyester
with empire waistline and long
sleeves. . A matching cape
trimmed with maribou fur ended
in a floor-length train. kler
headdress of maribou 'held a
waistlength veil. She carried, a
bouquet of red and pink rose buds
and white baby's . breath on a
background of maribou fur.
Matron-of-honor, Linda
Snodden of Orillia wore a full-
length gown of green velvet
styled with empire waistline and'
long sleeves. A white lace collar
accented the gown. She carried a
bouquet of red carnations.
Best man was Robert Snd'ddon
,
of Orillia. Ushers were Robert
Elligsen of R.R.4, • Walton,
brother of the -bride, and Gary
George: of Orillia, brother-in-law
of the groom.
The reception for relatives was
held at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Gary George , of Barrie Rd. A
wedding dance followed at the
South Ward Community Hall.

office opens
Canada ManpoWer is
establishing offices• again this •
year to serye the special, needs of
area students. The Goderich
• office will be located in the
Federal Building in the former
Farm Credit Office. The Huron
Park .office will be located in the
Huron Park offices of Manpower •
and Immigration. •
While the official opening will
take place March 22. registrations
are being taken now from thOse
students and employers wishing
to get an early start on their
summer„ plans.
Mr. James Barnes, ,29, ' a
resident of the village of Nile, h-as
been appointed Student
Placement Counsellor, He has
worked previously in the
Goderich area for the Federal
Department of Public Works and
as a personnef manager in local
industry.
Jim' is spending the first few
weeks visiting local employers to
introduce himself and determine
their student needs. He is also
visiting all the area secondary
schools to register students and
give advice on where and how to
find a summer, job.
Jipn•hopes that any employers, •
farmers or homeowners with -a
need for students will make use of

Prior to her marriage 'Brenda
was honoured with several. sho-
wers Miss Barb Smith, maid of
honour held a miscellanious
shower at her home in Mitchell,
attended by friends of the bride to
be, neighbours; Mrs. Geraldine
Siemon, Mrs. Carol Siemon and
Mrs. Paula Hinz held a shower-for
her inBornholm Hall.
Mrs. Grace Riehl, aunt of the
bride, held a shower in her home
at R.R. 2, Monkton with great
aunts and other relatives attend-
ing.

muffs.
