Concern about snowplowing in
• the township brought a
delegation to Hibbert Township's
• council meeting last Wednesday.
The' delegation said certain
concessions were being opened
too late b4r. the Township's ylows.
Council explained that because
of early bus commitments to
students travelling to. North-
western, Stratford, the plows
were forced to open these roads
first. With continued bad' weather
this was proving,diftRult. It was,
however, agreed that some
would be made to try and
assist the delegation.

Logan Township council held
their ' regular meeting on
Wednesday, February 4, • rather
than Monday, Feb. 2 because, of
the storm.

Planner, made his official visit to

were. opened,. but as the figures
varied from those estimated by

became stuck in the snow in the
south end of Dublin Monday
morning. Mr. L. Riley, on his way

failed to see it in the blinding
snow. No one was injured but
damage to both vehicles was'

Two installers from Northern
Electric have been working for
the last three weeks adding
another 100 circuits to the Bell,
system in this area sub exchange
to take care of further expansion,

Godetich escaped injury last
Wednesday when his car flipped
over on Highway 8, just west of
Seaf orth.
Mr. Young was en route to a ,
meeting at the HPRCSS office in,
Dublin when he lost control of his

An interim mill rate of forty
mills was set for 1976, and the
clerk was directed to isstte these

Matt MeCreight, inspecting
trustee for Dubli n, visited
council, and discussed work and
budget' for 1976. He too
expressed_ conce rn over snow
removal. It was agreed that work
on the sidewalk north of the Polt
Office to Highway no.8 west side
.of Mill Street should proceed, and
'that the Ministry of Transport and
Communications has agreed 'to
a subsidy. on this.
Council agreed to, paying half
the standard ward care of
O.H.I.P. for the full time
members of the -staff, being back
dated to January 1976.
A by-law was passed prohibit-
ing the dwping of snow on the
travel portion of the highway, and
also on the road allowances. The
third reading was .given to the
Burns Drainage Works, and three
readings to a by-law. permitting
W.G.Thompson and Sons to build
a railway, siding across the
boundary road between Hibbert
and Fulla'rton.
Reeve Ross McPhail was to '
represent the council at a meeting
to discuss and arrange, fOr the
hiring- Of a Building and Zoning
Inspector in the Mitchell • and
District Planning Area.
