And just sat there a hopin'
(As the door I could not open)
'That we could lust stay and fool
And forget about that darned old
school.
A tractor finally came along
And that sure' changed the song
As we hooked the chain and, clug
and spun
And again our journey carried on.
A radio message I did get
To travel only roads that's plowed'
A snowplow we have not yet met
So we sit herd with all heads
bowed.
All went fine 'till down the line
A huge drift I did encounter
Seven times the length this bus of

The kids were filled with
laughter.
And finally I get the word,
"Turn around 'and take them
home,"
The kids applause was all heard
So 1 turned around and gave a
groan.
