The Bonspiel Committee of the
Seaforth Curling Club held a very
successful two\day spiel over the
Winter Carniv4&I weekend. Both
draws were filled, the Saturday
night fiance was a hit and Sunday
breakfast was excellent.
The Bonspiel was` co-sponsored
by Ball-Macaulay Ltd and Crocker
Family Footwear. Prizes of hams,
cheeses and winei were ,awarded
to the winners.
Top rink in the 9:00 draw was
skipped by Graham Sholdice with
Donna Hannon, Doug Kirkby
from Seaforth and Sheila Steph-
enson from Walkerton.
Taking second prize were John
and Gwen Patterson with Bill and
Ferne Taggart from Aylmer.
'Third prize went to Glen and Lois,
Hayter with Robert Anderson
from Londesboro and Ellen Col-
son from Clinton.
Top rink in the 11:30 draw was
skipped by Jim Cunningham with
Anne Cunningham and Bill and
Mary Harvey from Chatham.
Second prize went to Bob and
Sharon Wilson with George and
Anne Armitage from Chatham.
Third prize -was won by • Bill and
•Marg Fleming with Don and
Anne Dance from Ayr.
The Bonspiel Committee
thanks everyone who helped in
any way to make the spiel a
success. The Seaforth Club hosts
the Junior Tankard ,on Sunday
January 25. Three teams are
entered in the playoff to represent
this subdivision 13B. They are
Seaforth, Vanastra and Harriston.
Spectators are most welcome to
come out and cheer on the local-
team of David Ste Marie, Dave
Reid, Glen Stewart and Joe
McLean.
The Seagram Mixed team
travels •to Exeter on Sunday
January 25 to play in the first
round of that competition. Again,
spectators would be ,most wel-
come to cheer on the Seaforth
representatives, the Campbells
and Pattersons. Winner of the

The Blues dumped the Hawks 6
1 in the earl game Sunday y,,s_a
night. The Wins nipped the
Kings 3-2, in the mi dle contest
and the late game saw'the Flyers
dump the Stars 6-3.
The Standings remain the same
after last weeks I.H.L. action with
the favourites winning in all three
games. .
The Blues continued their drive
for first place with their 6 - 1
victory over the Hawks. •
Ron Dalton scored the hat trick
to lead the Blue team. Ben Akker,
Randy Wood and Bill Price all
scored single goals.
• Pat Devereaux tallied the lone
Hawk's goal late-in the game.

Two weekend wins moved' the•
high flying- Centenaires into third,
place as they continue to make a
strong hid for the top spot.

After inclement weather forced
the eancellation of. Friday's game
the Centenaires travelled to Mt.
Brydges" Saturday night and
'whipped them. . .
After building up a 6 - 0 'first
period lead the local boys coasted
to an easy, victory.Von' Nicholson'
and • Randy MeClinchey each
collected a hat trick (3 goals) and
Jamie Caldwell added a pair with
singles going to Jerome Aubin
and Rick McDonald.

streak intact as they edged the
league leading Belmont Bombers

The Centenaires are moving up
fast and with three tough away
games this weekend have a tough
road ahead.The Centenaires have

points away from being the best
goalie in the, league.
The Centenaires hope to end
up in either first or second place
and have extended their 'winning
streak to seven straight games.

their local club.
The final score 3 - 2, brought a
win for Clinton, although there
