Who's Seaforth's New Year's
baby? There isn't one. There
haven't been any births in 1976 in
Seaforth Community Hospital and,
hospital administrator Gordon
MacKenzie said at press finite
Wednesday that no one has been
adiWitted to' the SCH maternity
ward.
The lack of a New Year's baby,
who will win a number of presents
donated by local merchants, when
he or she finally arrives, doesn't
mean that Seaforth's birth rate is
dropping, Me,„MacKenzie said.
"It noes up and down every
year", -4% said. fn 1975, 103,
babies were born at the local
hospital, the largest number in
five years and up 13 from 1974.
Nine babies were born in January
last year and the New Year's
baby, Lee Anne McLeod of
Staffa was born. 24
minutes after midnight on
January .
