—Division Court ' s hold -on Tuesday
last, in the Temperan - Hall, Judge Doyle,
presiding. There wer not many cases up
for hearing, but some f those tried took
considerable time, an it was after two
o'clock before the Co rt adjourned. On
account of the Town Council failing to
comply with the reqs est of the Judge to
furnish the Council Cl amber properly for
a court room, the refit nl to hold the court
there, and went to th Temperance Hall.
In some remarks that to made before the
opening of the court, th Judge was pretty
severe on the Town Co icil and said be

that town, and of Friday last a return

on the town park._Before the game was

4th. We learn fromMr. McLachlan, the
principal of this po ular Business and
Shorthand school, tat the past year has
been a very successft one; and a sheet
containing a list of pl. 'cos where students
came from cluing th year, certainly estab-

at times being hit pre ty freely, kept a cool

needed it was fortlic ping.. The diamond
of the bonze team was very strong one, each I
man seeming to be a c to cover his ground
with apparent ease, and their throwing
approached very clo a to perfection. For
all round play, Duffle el at first and Collins
at second carried off -he honors of the day.
The outfield, howeve , were not wanting in
their work, and aide: materially in keeping
their opponents fro scoring. The um-
piring was in the elle hands of ;52r. Mus-
grove, principal of ti e public school, whose;
decisions were emi :ently satisfactory to
both players and speators, a very difficult
