ANOTHER BIRTHDAY — Mrs. Leila Dundas
celebrated her birthday on Wednesday-at Seaforth
Manor. Born in McKillop Township, she lived most.
of her life in the Walton area. She has a family of
three daughters, all of Toronto, and son Frank. One
son predeceased her some years ago. Mrs. Dundas,
althoug4 confined to a wheel chair, is in good health.

90 ON SATURDAY — Mrs. Ada Reid is celebrating
her 90th birthday on Saturday. Mrs. Reid was born in
Stanley Township and spent a good bit of her early
life in the Bayfield, Varna area. Mrs. Reid worked In
a general store and took care of her father until he
passed away. A party is being arranged in her
hqnour at Seaforth Manor. She enjoys life and is very

honour by the staff at Seaforth •
Manor. Celebrating with her on
Tuesday afternoon were Miss
Bessie Davidson, Mrs. Mary
Thornton and Mrs. Lavina Wat-
son of Walton who provided. a
birthday cake and also celebrated
Mrs. Watson's birthday. -
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Galbraith of
Ottawa visited with Mrs. Ada
Reid on. Saturday and took her

Power-Line Safety
At the first of the month
Constable Wray was a guest
speaker at our school. He came
from the Ontario Plovincial Police
Station' in4Goderich.
The friendly constable showed
us a film on power safety and had
a little demonstration which
showed us the power line safety
rules that we should remember.
Constable Wray talked to the
Kindergarten classes about other
aspectS of safety.
. Making Soup
One Friday, children from
grade two brought in some
vegetables including potatoes,
carrots and tomatoes, The . Blass
then washed and cut the veget-
ables:
Miss Walsh le d the class to
the school's kitchen and they
watched the soup cook. After it
. was done,' they ate it for lunch.
Some disliked it while others
thought it was very tasty.
Sunday evening. Mr. John Not-
tingham of Vancouver B.Cfevisit-
ed with Mr. Zack McSpadden:
Mrs. Mabel McAdam of Clin-
ton visited her brother 'Mr.
Thomas Chu rchill.
Mr. and Mrs. Noah Kipfer and
Mr. John Steinberg of Stratford
visited Mr. Emil Hermansen and
Paul Leick and also played some
tape recordings for all the resi-
dents to hear on Monday evening.
Mr. Wesley D. Ham of Hunts-
ville Ontario visited with Mr.
William Scott.
Friday afternoon's bingo was
very well attended and winners

Darling, Mrs. Minnie Hawley and
Mr..Duncan Aikenhead. Straight

Pict Tres were taken of the
pupils at Hullett Central on
October 9, 1975. Both individual
and •class pictures were taken.
Then it, was the teacher's turn.
The photographer was from Na-,
tional School Services in London
and he will return on November
12 to take the pictures of the other
kindergarten class as well as any

pictures will be given to all pupils
sometime in December.
Canadian Brass
The pupils from grade ,.eight
and the power learning class
attended a 'concert at Central
Huron SecondarrSchool in Clin-
ton on Wednesday afternoon,
October 8. ' '
A musical group known as the
Canadian Brass „presented the
concert. The grog was very
entertaining. The music 'was
thoroughly enjoyed by everyone
present.
The pupils travelled. to. Clinton
and back 17y bus. -

• This fall we welcomed a new
secretary, Mrs, Lobb, to our
school.
(She went to High School in
London where she learned secre-
tarial skills. For the past two
years she has been studying
English and, History at the
University 'of West Ontario
where she is still en oiled as a
part time student.
Her hobbies are doi crafts,
walking and cooking. We hope
she enjoys 'being part Of the staff
at Hulletl.
Election '75
While Ontario was having their ,,,
election, Hullett, Central SchoOl
participated in one also. On
Friday, September 26 the annua
student's (Council election was
held with grades one to eight
casting votes. The students met
the nominees at a very informa-
tive and enjoyable assembly. The

VINCENT STAFF VISITS RAND OLE OPRY
This past weekend Vincent Farm Equipment Ltd. sponsored a tour to
Nashville, Tennessee for their employees, Including wives and husbands.
Ninety people enjoyed fun and excitement of Music City, U.S.A. Staying for
two nights in Nashville the group visited the Opryland Entertainment Park
and also the famous Grand Ole Opry.
During a tour of Nashville the group saw several sears' homes; the
Country Music Hail of Fame; visited Columbia Recording Studios seeing
the famous "Studio B" where many of the famous artists record.
A highlight of the trip was the Old Opry House where local Ayrite star
"Wally Spencer" performed on stage for the group. A big moment came as
Wally finished his song and was sought after for autographs by many other
tourists who happened 'to be in the hall at the time.
The tour was in lieu of the staff Christmas party with the purpose of
building group.enthusiasm and promoting teamwork among employees at
all three locations.
