The Industrial Hdckey League
opened its 1975-16 season Sunday
night and in keeping with
tradition, the scores were high -
very high.
In past seasons the opening
series of games usually- p‘rovjded
lots of scoring and a lac t of
defence. This season's openers
provided no exception to the rule
as a total of 35 goals were scored
in the 3 games played.,
Thp Wings started it early with
a 9 - 0 romp over the Stars in the
opening game.
The second contest saw the
'Blues nip the Kings 7 - 6 with a
goal late in the game and, the
Hawks blitzed the Flyers 10-3 in
the late contest.
The Wings ' started slowly
playing in even turns with" the
Stars. Ken Doig, connected at
12:00 of the first period and that
turned out to be all the Wings
needed.
Theycpumped in' 8 morel goals
