At their meeting Thursday the Community Centre fund' raising committee decided to sponsor a Lombardo Dance on Thursday, May 13,' 1976. " The Centennial Lombardo dance last May was a huge success and attracted a capacity crowd to the arena. The commit-- tee also plans to bring the Carleton Show Band, also a Centennial year success, back to Seaforth some time next July. Ernie Williams was named secretary of the fund raising group and Lloyd Hoggarth will be in charge of the committee's 50/50 draw. Pledges are coming in slowly from last month's rollathon and rec director Clive Buist says that the high pledge winners will be announced Thursday. October 16. All groups who -use the arena have been asked to name reps to the' fund raising committee and Mr. Buist 'said he hopes more will attend the next committee meeting oh Nov- ember 5, at 8p.m. in the lower library. Representatives now named include figure skating club. Mad Whitman; industrial hockey, Lloyd Eisler; junior hockey. Bob Dinsmore, Jack, Price, Gary Gray; town council Bill Bennett and Legion, Lloyd Rowat. It is expect- ed that the Lions, Optimists. At the craft show committee's last meeting on Tuesday, the old executive, convenor Elva Ellis, Doreen Strong and treasurer Ruth Pickard;•oresigneck - ••• • Recreation director Clive Buist said the present executive felt it was time for new people to take on responsibility for the show.
