Oh nature why was this to be?
That trees in fall shed their
beauty, And ones that fall from
our human tree, Still leave a
sadness with you and me.
The leaning beauties we see
around, Will fall some Day unto
the ground, Again those beauties
God will bring, To charm our
souls again some spring.
. And trees too soon on wintry
nights, Will moan and sigh for
days more bright, In fall her hair
so red so brown, She felt so sad
when they went down.
All beauty lovers now heave a
sigh, As floating leaves wave
their good-bye, How nice to rest
beneath your shade, When the
heat from sun those leaves
waylaid.
She remembers when they
danced so gay, When ere the
`breeze their tune did play, The
night came down and tears did
splay, And told all them twas time
to pray.
The moon rose o'er yon wooded
hill, Those tears ,then glistened,
oh the thrill, And now Her beauty

Our distant readers perhaps
will be wondering about crop and
weather conditions.. Since reports
of recent weeks were somewhat
discouraging.
I am happy too, at this time to
report that there have been three
days of warm sunshine and
farmers are completing the crops
although, with some loss,
everything is shaping up very
nicely.
Corn is an excellent crop and
silage and high moisture is the
order of the d ay, ground
conditions are greatly improved.
Reports from friends around
Palmer and Gravelburg in
Saskatchewan say the harvest
there is the best since 1928. So
perhaps the starving world will
get some relief.
