Teach IS have been AettOng
to their schools this week and
have begun. sorting through btkOltS
and cleaning out drawers. •
So, it isn't surprising they haste
come across a few loose.ends that
need tieing.
Some photo s have just 'been
released from Seaforth Public
School on those glorious last days
of schOol.
School began this week,. so it
isn't inappropriate to reminisce
about those final days of school',
Last year's top scorers in the
Canadian Physical Fitness Tests
were Stever Underwood, Jeanne
McDonald, Joanne Boyer, Kevin
Prager and Mark Underwood.
This can serve as a challenge to
those starting physical education
classes this year. It will be hard
for the grade one and kindergan
ten students to forget the trip
they made to Storybook Gardens
in mid-June. Theyhad their lunch
in Springbank Park, and then
continued on the bus to Storybook
Gardens in London.
In spite of the rain, they had an
exciting time when the father
buffalo charged the fence at Mrs.
Ellis, riding Humpty Dumpty's
Horses and sliding down. Old
Mother Hubbard's shoe.
Besides the trip, they had a
field day too. In the 100 foot
running race, Janice Carter won
for the girls "and Mike Ball for the
boys. It must have been a red
letter day for Mike because he
came first in the boys' $0 foot
running backwards and the shoe'
kick.
In the girl's running backwards
Carol Glanville won first, while
Terry McKellar came and took
first place in the girls and Ricky
Scott in the boys' hopping race.
Janice Cater was the best girl
beanbag thrower, Christine
Campbell, the girls' shoe kick
champ, and Ray Little won for the
boys'. bean bag throw.
The end of June is always an
important time for the grade
eights. Below two girls' remember
the big day.

It's a time for
strong leadership
Competent, decisive Ieadership. The kind we have in the
Progressive Conservative Government led by Premier Bill
Davis. It's a government that has fought hard for the rights
of consumers, wage-earners, senior citizens, young people.
It froze gasoline and fuel prices. Reduced sales taxes.
Brought in a guaranteed annual income system for older
citizens. Introduced a tax on land speculation profits.
Established a $1500 bonus for first-time home buyers. Gave
Ontario the finest health care program in Canada and an
educational system second to none. Provided broad
financial support to farmers. Moved strongly to protect
the environment. It's a government committed to action on
the cost of living, rent review boards, and a positive
response to public concern about crime and violence. The
Progressive Conservative Government. It has' experience
and strength that Ontario deserves in these challenging times.
