used to help purchase a second car for the VON in Huron. Mrs. Cardno said the
county wide club decided to donate to the VON because it serves the whole of

the Colborne A ball team at
Benmiller park on July 8, an'd the
Colborne B team at Brucefield on
July 15. Unfortunately, they lost
both games. Chin up girls.
With a little more practice, you'll
be winners. The • Boys A team did
a little better, with a 31 to 29 win
'over Benmiller on July 14. ,
Practice for the girls is on
Tuesday and Thurs. evenings,
and for the boys on Friday
evening.
Jimmy Reid, son of 'Mr. and
Mrs. Robt. Reid, summer resid-
ents left on Sunday for Not;,vay to
attend the World Scout Jamboree
He was chosen to represent the
Wallaceburg Troop, and will be
away for a month. Other countries
he will visit are Denmark, Sweden
and Finland.

WRIGHT REUNION
Forty descendents of the
Wright Family attended the an-
nual Wright Reunion on Sunday,
July 13th at the. Kirkton ,
Woodham Community Centre. A
special welcome was given to Mr.
and Mrs. Clem Geisler, Midland,
Texas, Mr.' and Mrs. Joe Horne
Leamington and Mr. and Mrs.
Murray Wright from Kingsville.
The twentieth Reunion will be
held at the Kirkton - Woodham
Community Centre, the second
Sunday in July 1976, with Lorne
Ross as President and Mrs.
Orland Reickert, Hensall as sec-
retary.

The Parker-Keyes picnic was
held at Riverview Park, Exeter on

A Hay township area farmer,
Ross Corbett had the misfortune
to fall while forking hay in his
barn on Friday, fracturing his left
arm at the elbow. He was
attended by Dr. J. C. Goddard at
South Huron Hospital, Exeter,
where his arm was placcdin a cast.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hoy are
holidaying at their cottage near
Ripley.

Mrs. Mary Moffatt at the piano,
Nelson Howe at the violin accom-
panied Heather and Melissa
Moffatt tap dancing.
Mr. Brister accompanied her
daughters Karolyne and Gillian
on the piano. They sang several
songs.

reported that the booth at Hensall
Spring Fair was a financial

Mrs. Mann offered to be the
historian for the district. Many
clippings, records and snap shots
were turned over to her.
Mrs. F. Giffin, District
Commissioner reported that in
Hensall two Brownie leaders, one
Guide leader, a treasurer and a
Badge Secretary, are required for
operations in the Fall. Any
interested ladies may contact
Mrs. Giffin in Exeter or Mrs.
Luther in Hensall.

service in Carmel Presbyterian

accompanied the choir in the
anthem "Hold Thou my Hand".
Service next Sunday will be at
Hensall United Church at 11 a.m.
conducted by Rev, Don Beck and
will continue during August.
Service will resume in Carmel
Church the first Sunday in
September 'at 9 a.m. when Rally
Day Service will be held.

The RecreationCommittee of
Hay Township met on Tuesday
night in the Township Hall Zurich
to discuss the possibility of
leasing the Agriculture Grounds.
It was recommended an agree-
ment be drawn up with the
Council.

The fifth ' meeting of the
Seaforth V Gardening Green
Thumbs was' held at the home of
Jackie and Joanne Van Doornik
on July 28th. The meeting opened
with the 4-If pledge followed by a
delicious picnic buffet. T he roll
call - Bring in two vegetables of
any one kind was answered by ten
members. Plans for Achievement
Day, on August 22nd were, finali-
zed., - The Adak members, them;
enjoyed a refreshing swim'in the,'
family farm pond to wind up the
garden club project.

The forty-third annuzi gather-
ing of the Pym family was held on
Sunday, -July 13 in Riverview'
Park, Exeter, with approximately
44 in attendance and ideal
weather conditions. After a boun-
teous dinner, the business was
conducted. President, Tony
Shulman welcomed all those
attending. The Secretary-
Treasurer, Helen Roberts, read
the minutes and dealt with 'the
correspondence.
Sports committee were John
and Marilyn Pym, Lois Worrier
Beverly Shulman. Following the
business an afternoon of visiting-
and sports was enjoyed by all
Sports; Marcia Shulman won the
mystery box. Children under five,
Janet and David Eagleson, Jes-
sica Mennen.
Boys and girls seven to ten,
Lois-Anne Shulman, Ken Worner
Girls, Eleven to fourteen, Linda
Roberts, Brenda Shulman. Bal-
loon contest, Mary Simmons,
Bradley Shulman. Relay race, Jim
Roberts, Shirl Frazer.
Adults kick the slipper, Mark
and Marcia Shulman. Childrens

Essery was the oldest".
Earl and Oga Hunter of Whitby
travelled the furthest distance.
Mrs, Hubert Hunter had the
closest birthday. There was a
candy scramble for the children.
It was decided to have next year's
picnic the last Sunday in June, at
4ir the same place and time. The
Officers for 1976 are as follows;
President- Tony Shulman; Vice-
president- Jack Eagleson; Secret-
ary-Treasurer- Helen Roberts.
Thomson Reunion •
The thirty-sixth Thomson re-
union was held Sunday afternoon
at Harbour Park Goderich with
over 40 in attendance. After is
very delicious smorgasbord din-
ner the President, Dorothy Case
presided for a short meeting.
McGuckin in Trinity United
Church, Newmarket. The bride is
a niece of Mrs. Horton and Mrs.
McNaughton.

try Playhouse of Grand Bend
entertained the residents with
several comedy musical numbers.

conducted church service accom-
panied at ,the piano by Louise

Miners.

Henson families have reunions
Saturday with over sixty members

charge of the races and games.
They were assisted by George
and Ken Parker. A
special feature of the event was
the celebration of the twenty-fifth
wedding anniversary of Mr. and
Mrs. Wilmer McDonald, 'Bramp-
ton. A humorous mock wedding
was presented after which they
were presented with the anniver-
sary cake and many other gifts.
Mrs. Margaret Ruston, Stratford
was President and Mrs. Patsy
Dalton, Seaforth, Treasurer for
this year.
The, Climax of the program was
a b game. The picnic will be
hel Riverview Park in 1976.
