He has around six acres in cucumbers and hoped to harvest at least five tons to the acre. This is the earliest he has begun picking for some years so he expects to finish around the first of September before school goes back. Unlike most produce, the smallest cucumbers get the highest price and as the cucumber gets ,bigger so the price goes down.
