Lighted 'candelabra, bouquets
of white shasta daisies, pink
mums, and white gladiol a decor-
ated St. John's Anglican Church
in Brussels, on Saturday June
7th, 1975 at 4:30 p.m. when
Janice Gail McWhirter, and
Robert Bruce Hodgins exchanged
marriage vows. Rev. Fred Carson
officiated at the double ring
ceremony. The guest pew's were
marked with pink ribbon crosses,
and white mums. The organist,
Mrs.ChTistine Allenang of Kit-
chener, sister of the groom
provided traditional wedding
music. The soloist, Garry
McWhirter, brother of the bride,
who sang, "To Everything There
is a Season" was accompanied
on the guitar by Miss Maria
Dalton of London.
- The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. John McWhirter, of
Brussels. The groom is the son of
Mrs. Evelyn Bricker, of Colum-
bus Grove, Ohio and the late,N1r.
L. George Hodgins.
Given in marriage by her father
and mother, the bride, chose a
floor length A line gown, of
tussore silk, with attached chapel
train. A matching, jacket with
high neck and covered buttons
was trimmed by ruffles on the
cuffs and bodice. She wore a
wide brimmed picture hat trim-
med with lace and white silk
flowers. She carried a cascade of
pink sweetheart roses, baby's
breath, and ivy.
Miss Norma Mair, of Toronto,
friend of the bride, was maid of
honor. Miss Connie McWhirter
of London, and Miss Jackie

McWhirter, both sisters of the
bride, were bridesmaids. The
maid of honour, and the
bridesmaids were identically
gowned in hot pink, accented with
white lace, on cuffs, and square
neckline. Complimenting the
ensiemble were lacy pink picture
hatk They carried bouquets of
white shasta daisies, and pia
rosebuds.
The groom was wearing tuxedo
, pleated shirt, black bow-tie
and pink rose boutonniere. Best
man was Stephen Hall of London,
Doug Fryatt of London, and John
Hartshorn of Preston were ushers
They wore black tuxedos with'
ruffled shirts, black bow ties; and'
white boutonnieres.
Following the wedding a
banquet and reception were held
in Brussels Legion Hall, which
was decorated with pink and
white streamers and bells. Head
table was centered with a four-
tiered wedding cake, decorated
with pink roses. The guests were
received by the brides mother,
wearing a floor length blue
polyester gown and jacket en-
semble, with white corsage and
accessories. She was assisted by
the grooms' mother, wearing a
floor length mauve polyester
gown, with floral shawl, and
corsage of white mums. The
guest of honour at the wedding
was the brides' grand-mother,
Mrs. John Clark.
The bride is a graduate of St.
Joseph's School of Nursing,
London. The groom is a graduate
of Western University, London.
The young couple are residing
in Ottawa.

Mr, and Mrs. Harvey Th °ma's
Dale were married in Ottawa on
May 24, 1975.
Mrs. Dale, the former Patty
MCCredie, is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Hugh McCredie,
Ottawa and Mr. Dale is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Dale of
R.R.#4, Clinton.,
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor-
length gown of .white silk jersey
with a train. The high neckline
and yoke was of seed pearls. Her
headdress was a Juliette cap of
seed pearls with a double veil.
She carried long stemmed gold
roses and baby's breath.
Maid of honour was Miss
Bonnie McCredie, Sister of the
St. Joseph's Roman Catholic
Church , Clinton was the scene
for the wedding of Marie Van
Damme, Clinton to John Vogels,
Fullarton on June 27th, 1975 at
4:30 p.m. with Father Hardy
performing the double ring
ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs. Barbara Van Damme,
Clinton and the late Joseph Van
Damme and the groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Vogels,
R.R.2, Dublin.
The bride, who '; as given in
marriage by her brother, Bill Van
Damme chose a gown of lagoda
and guipure lace fashioned on
Princess lines with high neckline
and long sleeves. A band of
guipure lace edged the train and
trimmed the yoke of the gown. A
matching bridal cap held the silk
illusion veil. She carried a
nosegay of deep pink roses,
stephanotis, baby's breath and
pink lace streamers.
Susan Mazur, Winnipeg,
Manitoba was the maid of honor
and the bridesmaids were
bride. Bridesmaids were Mrs.
Judy Mackey; sister of the bride;
Mrs. Suzanne Brandon, sister of
the groom , Clinton; Miss Marie
Kuttner, Halifax.
Best man was Mr. Gordon
Dale, Clinton, brother of the
groom. Ushers were Mr. John
Mackey; yr.Rob. Gordon,
Stratford; MT. Nelson • Dale,
Clinton.
Soloist was Mr Robert Stoner,
Blenheim.
Following a reception and
dance at the Manderley Golf and
Country Club, the couple left on a
trip to Spain.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale will reside
in Seaforth.
Dorothy Van Steelandt, Blyth and
B onnie Rickwood, St. Thomas.
They were dressed alike in pink
flowered sheer over taffeta,
empire design, short puffed
sleeves, A-Line skirt, scoop
neckline with stand-up collar.
They carried nosegays of white
daisies, pink variegated
miniature carnations and pink
baby's breath with white lace
streamers.
The groomsman was Paul
Vogels, R.R.1, Dublin and Robert
;Van Damme, Clinton and Cinth
Vogels, Centralia were the
ushers.
The music was provided by
Sheila • Phillips and Clarence
Denomme.
The supper and reception was
held at the Clinton Legion which
was decorated with blue, pink and
white streamers.
For their wedding trip to
British Columbia the bride
travelled in an off white pant suit
with brown trim.
The couple will reside at
Fullarton, Ontario.
Lynda Bedard, Seaforth and
Roger Kramp, Dublin were
united in marriage at St. James'
Church, Seaforth on June 21st,
1975 at 4:00 P.M. with Father
Sullivan performing the double-
' ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bedard,
Seaforth and the groom is the son
of Mr, and Mrs.Russell Kramp,
Dublin.
The church was decorated with
white daisies and gladiolas.
The bride, given in marriage by
her father and mother, chose a
chiffon over polyester crepe gown
with high neck, gathered waist,
long sleeves and white picture hat
trimmed with chiffon. She carried
yellow sweetheart baby roses
`with white baby's breath. She had
a cluster of yellow roses on the
back of her hat.
The matron of honor was
Rosemary Reicker, sister of bride,
St. Thomas and Terry Kunz,
Seaforth and Cynthia Newnham,
Seaforth were bridesmaids. Lisa
,I,Kramp, sister of the groom, was
the Junior bridesmaid. They were
gowned in mint green crepe, shirt
style with buttons down the front,
'tiny belt at waist and bows at
neck. The junior bridesmaid's
dress was similar but of flowered
green crepe. Their flowers were
white daisies with baby's breath
dyed the color of the dresses.
Terry Kramp, brother of the
groom, Dublin was the
groomsman and the usher were
Ian Parsons, Stratford and Don
Jefferson, Seaforth,
Mrs. Alice Styles was the
organist and Rosemary Van den
Hengel the soloist.
The reception was held at the
Seaforth Community Centre.
For their wedding trip to
Midland the bride travelled in a
green print blouseand cream
colored button-down skirt.
The couple will reside in
Seaforth.
Guests were present from
Mount Forest, Arthur, Conn ,
Rockwood, Al ma, Stratford,,
Dublin, Cedarville, St. Th omas,
Detroit, Sarnia, Windsor,
Tecumseh, St. Joseph, Zurich,
Niagara Falls.
ShovArs were given by Terry
Kunz and Janice Powell, (friends
of the bride), Seaforth. Mrs.
David Brown, sister of the groom,
Dubli n. Mrs.Bill Wilbee,
Seaforth.
Elaine Kathryn Oke was
married Saturday, July 5, to
Raymond William Baker at
Northside United Church,
Seaforth, with the Rev. T.Edwin
Hancock officiating.
Elaine is the daughter of
Orville and Wilma Oke of
Seaforth and Raymond is the son
of Marcel and Christine Baker of
London.
Mary Oke of Don Mills, sister
of the bride, was maid of honor
and the best man was Jerry
Wright of London. Other

attendants were Mrs.Rob Grant
of Exeter, Miss Margaret McLean
and Mrs. James Koss, both of
Ottawa, Gary Fleming and Hal
Wengrinowicz, both of • London
and Brian Kinahan of Detroit.
John Farnham of Winnipeg
sang the "Wedding Song"
accompanied by Mrs. James A.
Stewart ofSeaforth and Mitchell
Moore of Toronto read the words
on Marriage from The Prophet by
Kahlil Gibran.
After a honeymoon to Cape Cod
and the Eastern united States the
couple will reside in London.

The Free Methodist Church,,
Goderich, was the setting when
Margarett Dianne Rodges and
DAvid Charles Baan were united
in marriage on May 31st at 2:30.
The Rev. Ross Nicholls performed
the ceremony. Mr. Eric Campbell
played the wedding music and
Mrs. Iris Fillmore, the soloist,
sang "The Wedding Prayer",
"Abide With us" and "Bless this
Home".
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs.Leonard Rodges,
R.R.#2, Clinton, and the groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin
Baan, R.R.#3, Walton.
The bride given in marriage by
her parents, chose a gown of soft
knit jersey. The bodice featured a
scooped neckline and empire
waistline trimmed with rosebud
lace. A flared skirt flowed to a
train trimmed with similar lace,
The Juliet cap held a finger-tip
teil trimmed with lace matching
the dress. She carried a cascade
of yellow sweetheart roses, white
shasta daisies and baby's breath.
Miss Marilyn Rodges, London.
sister of the bride was the maid of
honour. She wore a yellow gown
styled similarly to the brides-
maids with a flare skirt, a U-neck-
line and short sleeves. The
bridesmaids provided a pretty
background in rainbow colours of
pink and blue. They were Miss
Janet Rodges, London, sister of
the bride andMiss Marie
Ferguson, Goderich, cousin of the
bride. Each carried a bouquet of
white shasta daisies with
miniature carnations in their
colour.
Mr. Norman Sparling, Forest,
friend of the groom was the best
man. Ushers were Mr. David
Rodges, brother of the bride and
Mr. Alvin Klassen, Delhi.
The reception followed in the
Little Inn, Bayfield.
The bride's mother greeted the
guests-4r a long gown of shades of
pink and orange flowers. The
groom's mother chose a gown of
pastel blue.
The new couple now reside on
the groom's farm at R.R.#3,
Walton.
