NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WASTE DISPOSAL SITE FOR LANDFILLING
TOWNSHIP OF STANLEY
The Township of Stanley has applied to the Ministry of the
Environment for approval of a waste disposal site for
landfilling to serve the Township of Stanley to be located in
the vicinity of the west half of Lot 16, Concession B,R.N. in
the Township of Stanley.
The nvironmental hearing Board will conduct a public
hearing o obtain information and to hear the views of the
public so at it can form an opinion on the merits as to
whether th use and operation of the proposed site would or
would n of be in the public interest. Written and oral
submissions may be made to the Board at the hearing. The
Board will not consider any submissions regarding the
proposal after the. hearing has been closed.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 1975
commencing at 10:oo o'clock in the morning, local time, in the
Township of Stanley Hall, Varna, Ontario.
Copies of a plan related to the proposal will be available for
examination and inspection during normal business hours at
the office of the Municipal Clerk of the Township of Stanley,
R.R.#1, Brucefield, Ontario.

On July 3, South Perth Fastball
action, the Brodhagen Brewers
defeated Wellesley 9 - 7.
Winning pitcher for Brodhagen
was Doug Vock.
He allqyved 4 h its and had 2
strike-outs. Loser . for Wellesley
was Larry Roth, who allowed 10
hits and 8 strike-outs.
Leading batters for Wellesley
were Frank Biro, who had 3
singles and Alex Horan, with a
single and a triple.
For Brodhagen, Merle Hoegy
hit a single and a home run, Larry

THOMAS P. MORRIS
A funeral service for Thomas P.
Morris of Seaforth who died July
1 at Huronview was conducted by
Rev. H.J.Laragh of St, James'
Roman Catholic Church, Seaforth
on Friday.
Pallbearers were Michael
Coyne, Louis McIver, Thomas
Morris, Donald McKaig, Theo
Melady, Louis Morris. Flower
bearers were Larry Morris, Paul
Morris and Brian Morris. "
VIOLET MAY GREEN
A sister of Art Nicholson and
Wilson Allan of Seaforth passed
away on June 16 in Vancouver.
Violet May Green, 86, of
Vancouver was a member of the
Royal Canadian Legion No. 16.
Funeral services were held on
June 20 in Boal Chapel in North
Vancouver with Reverend E. R. •
Laing officiating.
The body was cremated. Mrs.
Green is survived by five
children, her son, Alvin
(Smokey) of Victoria and four
daughters, Audrey James, Alice
Chubb, Velma Henders and Doris
Jenni, all of Vancouver. She also
left behind 15 grandchildren, 27
great-grandchildren, her two
brothers here and a sister in
Winnipeg, Manitoba.
CHARLES D. LANE
Charles D. Lane died at
Seaforth Community Hospital on
Friday following a short illness.He
was 57.
A long time resident of
Tuckersmith where he farmed on
the Mill Road, he had lived in
Seaforth since his retirement in
1968. Born in the township he was
a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Th
omas G. Lane.
He is survived by his brothers
and sisters, Loretta, Mrs. Hugh
Deady, Maynooth, Ont.,
Margaret, Mr§, Keith Smith,
Toronto, Elizabeth, Mrs. Jack
Nicholson, Cambridge,William of
Lindsay, Louis of Hudson Hope,
Mervyn, Tuckersmith and Joseph
J., McKillop.
The remains rested at the
R.S.Box Funeral Home until
Tuesday morning when service
was conducted by Rev.
H. J. Laragh at St. James Roman
Catholic Church, Seaforth.
Interment followed in St.
James' Cemetery. Pallbearers
were Michael Lane, Thomas
Lane, Lary Lane, John Lane,
Patrick Nicholson and Thomas
Nicholson. plower bearers were
Larry Lane and James Malone.
MRS. GEORGE T. FLEWITT
The death occurred at
Huronview on. Tuesday of Mrs.
George T. Flewitt of R.R.4,
Seaforth. She was 77.
The former Agnes Grace
Broadfoot she was a daughter of
the late Mr. and Mts. Wm. G.
Broadfoot of Tuckersmith. She
was a life-long resident of
Tuckersmith.
She is survived by her husband
to whom she was married June
17, 1939 at St. Thomas' Anglican
Church, Seaforth and by a son
W.G. Frederick Flewitt of
Stratford and a daughter Marion,
Mrs. Donald White, R.R.2,
Stratford and by three
grandchildren.
The remains are resting at the
R.S.Box Funeral Home, Seaforth
until Thursday when a service will
be held from St. Thomas"
Anglican Church at 2 p.m. and
conducted by Rev. S. Sharpies,
Interment will follow in Bayfield
Cemetery.
JOHN ALBERT BAUER
The funeral of the late John
Albert Bauer, the nine-year old
son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bauer
of R.R.#5, Mitchell was held in
St. Peters' Lutheran Church,
Brodhagen, onThursday.
The boy drowned in a quarry
when the bottom dropped
suddenly.
Pastor Lloyd Kalbfleisch
officiated and pallbearers, all
neighbours, were Arthur
Campbell, John Campbell,
Wilfred Maloney and Fred Jung.
Robedrt Leonhardt, Michael
Gethke, Allan and Paul
Bennnwies, Mark Moore and Jeff
Beuermann were the flower
bearers.
John had just completed grade
four olat Upper Thames
Elementary School in Mitchell.
He was a member of the Sunday
School and junior choir atSt.
Peters' Lutheran Church, so the
remaining members of the choir
and Sunday School class formed a
body guard as the casket was
taken to the church cemetery.
Surviving are his parents,
Albert Bauer and the fortnek
Edith Alles, his grandfather,
John E. Alles of Mivlerton,
brother, Jim, of R.B.#2, of
Monkton and sister, Pat Grove of
Ottawa and at bathe still Paul, 7,
and Debbie, 15.
