I was but a teenage boy in knee
pants during the first Old Boys
Reunion of 1914. 'I have been
privileged to attend. all the Old
boys Reunions in Seaforth since
that time.
When 1 say knee pants, that
was the mode of dress on most
teenage boys at that time.
You didn't wear long trousers
until you were well on in the
teens, maybe 'a blouse or a coat
and do you remember the high
starched collars, separate from
the shirts?' We took them to the
Chinese laundry near the
Seaforth News office to be
washed and ironed. Some wore
celluloid collars.
I recall very vividly the
wonderful Parade at that first
reunion in 1914, probably ;,he
most colorful event that Seaforth
