include 30,000 Canadian soldiers,
sailors and airmen.
June 7, 1944 - Landings
reported successful along a 60-
mile front. Canadian spearhead
overrun. Other Canadians first to
reach D-Day objectives. Japan-
ese retreat in India after unsuc-
cessful sieges of Imphal, Kohima.

twelve Normandy towns,
June • 10. 1944 - Americaps
advancing towards Cherbourg.
June 11, 1944 - The Russians
begin new attack- on Nazis in
Finland.

Also Rev. Yielding amused all
residents with his magical tricks
which everyone enjoyed and the
whole group sang a number by
