Many banners made by different organizations were on display in the auditorium, along ' with .,phptographs of past and present.; Booklets recalling the history of Duff's Church since union in 1925 were available. The Wilbee family consisting of Carol, Keith, Brian and Mrs. Elva Wilbee entertained with a pre- lude of music as the, large crowd gathered. Rev. Derwyn Docken conduc- ted a candle lighting service, representing the past and present organizations of the church were: Jack McEwing, Mac Sholdice, Doug Fraser, Edna Hackwell, Annie Reid, Dianne Godkin, Linda Fischer, Tom Leeming, Brian Mc\pavin and Fred Uhler. During the special service the choir rendered an anthem "Sing Unto the Lord". Cheryl and Graeme Craig sang two duets. Rev. Docken in his sermon spoke on "Thank You 0 Lord, For the Time is Now." Continuous members of Duff's Church 1925 to 1975 were presented with a scroll and Anniverpy pin. They sat in the front pews and %Mal on ng Walton. .Wfort bus trip to Elora oThe Walton Institute bus trip was held last week when approximately 41 ladies visited the Elmira church where they had their noon meal, they were shown a film, had a• guided tour of the Mennonite district with home and history and took in the craft store and other places of interest. Mr. and Mrs. David Dunk, of Corunna visited a week ago Monday with his mother, Mrs. Phylis. Dunk. Miss Brenda Bewley, R.N., Edmonton, Alberta and' Mr. Dan Raven, from the same city:, have been visiting at the home of Walter and Mrs. Bewley. On Monday they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Warwick, at Owen Sound. Receiving provincial honours for completing twelve projects were: June Eggert, Egmondville; Mary Ann Van Bakel, Dublin; Barbara Maloney, RR 5 Seaforth; Joanne Van Drunen and Connie Van Dyke both of RR 4' Seaforth. These award winners were among ,100 Seaforth area members who participated ,in the Achievement Day based on their current project, What Shall I Wear? Altogether about 1,100 members across Huron County studied the same project. They learned how to select clothes to suit their figure types considering lines, colours and textures •of fabric. Each member made a blouse which will harmonize with her wardrobe. Fashion Show The day-long program at Sea- forth included: Fashion Show - by clubs Seaforth 1 and. 5 and McKillop 2,4 and 5. McKillop 1 - a skit, A Planned Shopping Trip; McKillop 3 - Cotton Co-ordinates with Brenda Smith Commentator; Seaforth 2 - A skit, A Planned Shopping Trip;• Egmopdville - an exhibit with commentator, ' Margaret Van Dyke; Seaforth 1 - a skit A Planned Shopping Trip; McKillop 4 -a demonstration.Of a Planned Shopping Trip with commentators Lori Hugill; Lyn Htigill, Brenda Scott and Shirley McClure; McKillop 5 - an exhibit with commentator Barbara Maloney - A Well Planned Costume for a Wedding; McKillop 2 - a skit, A Planned Shopping Trip; Seaforth 5 - an exhibit - sewing samples with commentator, Wendy Dorssers; Fashion Show - McKillop 1 and 3; Egmondville; Seaforth 2. The program was conducted by Miss Jane Pengilley, Home Economist for Huron County with Mrs. Agnes King, Home Econo- mist, Woodstock commenting on exhiits and Miss Loralee Rtit- ledge, Home Economist of Brock- ville commenting on the skits. The summer project will be the Garden' ChM' and The Fall 'int& r Let's Bake Bread. Moir Waters; Anniversary Hymn written by Rev. Clifford Park; The Anniversary Hymn Winner, written by Rev. A. Demmons. At the close of the service a smorgasborg meal prepared by the U.C.W. along with birthday cake was served in ,the church basement with some braving the chilly weather outside. During the social hour old friendships were renewed with those who returned after 'many years: anc those after only a few years. A poem by. Rev. Chas. Visiting recently with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Huether and boys were Mrs. Dolly Murphy, Manchester, England; Mrs. Marion Asquith and Mr. and Mrs. Watson Webster. of Clinton. Mrs. Campbell Wey attended the Conference week-end for 'United Church Women at West- ,* minster College at the University. of Western Ontario, London. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Watson of London attended theCentennial service at Duff's Church, Walton on Sunday. Mr. and. Mrs. Earl Mills, Mr. and Mrs. Torrence Dundas, Mrs. Edna Hackwell, Miss Pearl Thamer; Mr. and Mrs. Ernie Stevens and Mrs. Jan Van Vliet 1 0 Sr. from this area enjoyed the 4 three day trip to Ottawa with the Senior Citizens Club from Brussels. They had a tour of ' Ottawa and boat trip, visited the Parliament Buildings and the mint, also taking the Thousand Island Cruise. There will be no church at Duff's this coming Sunday due to • the 50th Anniversary celebrations at the MoncreittKnox Church. GREETING THE CONGREGATION — Rev.
