The Exeter renovations project estimated at $201.900 was on the Huron board's originai program for renovations and alterations in • 1975. In March, Huron's entire capital works, budget of $850,000 was rejected by the' education ministry. The Ministry's regional director D.W.Scott told the board in a lettei, "after careful consideration of a list of urgent projects, for, which insufficient capital allocation was available in the Western Ontario region for 1975, the Minister has approved the assignment of additional funds to the Huron County Board of Education for Exeter Public, School in the amount of $200,000." . Elston presiding. , • Council agreed on a motion by councillors Thos. Miller and Jas. Mair to a refund on 1975 taxes on N1/4 .Lot 2, Con. 7, based on an assessment of $740.' and accepted. Applications for tile drain loans amounting to $17,700 on a motion by councillors Mair and Grasby. It was agreed that Thos. Miller would look after repairs to branch dump. A donation of $100 was given to the Township of Turnberry fund for flood •disaster for Lower Wingham. • There being no, appeals to consider on the Bowes Drainage Works By-law No. 4, 1975 was given" 3rd reading and finally passed. Accounts approved for payment included: Roads Mrs. George St. Clair of London visited with Mrs. Ada Reid Sunday and also took her for a drive to Huronview to visit with friends there. Mr. Mack Aikenhead of London visited with his brother Mr. Duncan Aikenhead. Mr. Wm. Scott enjoyed a•drive on Sunday afternoon accompanied by Mrs. Scott and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Scott of Brucefield. Congratulations go to Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Scott on the occasion of their 32nd wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Noah Kipfer and Mr. John ,Steinburg visited with Mr. Emil Hermansen and Mr. Paul Leick . All residents were delighted to have the SDHS girls band under the direction of Mr. George Hildebrand, parade and play for them Wednesday evening on the Manor grounds. Winners at our Bingo on Friday afternoon were: Mr. Clarence Jackson' and Mr. Ludger Sequin for full house. Sour corners were Mr. Albert St. Denis and Mr. Steven Fournier.
