Kippen WI honours 4-H clubs

Couple Celebrates Anniversary
' On Sunday evening, May 25, a
family dinner was held in the
Ilensall Legion Hall in honour of

leaders of the club with a gift.
Linda Bell and Sharon Brodie,
Provincial Honour winners were
also presented with a gift.
Members answered the roll call

the person on their right. Mrs. R.
Bell ' commented on the motto
'There is No Cosmetic for Beauty
Like Happiness". Mrs. G.
McLean and Mrs. Al Hoggarth
presented a skit "That Nasty
Mother Goose."

Drummond gave the report of the
District Annual. There will be a
bake sale June 7, 1975 at 3:00
p.m. Place to be decided later.

daily growing older, but a

Legion Hall when the 4-H Girls

morning. Under the direction of

Church for the past 50 'years.

On Sunday, May 25 a
miscellaneous shower was held in
the Hensall Legion Hall in
honour of Sheila° Sangster of
Toronto. The bride-to-be received
many lovely gifts and good
wishes. Miss Monica Peebles and
Mrs. Marion Pebbles of London
convened. Guests were present.

A 123 year old pew from
Ebenezer Church formally on
Lot 16, Con. 1 Usborne, now
owned by Mr. Gordon Heywood
was also displayed. The exhibits
were many and varied, well 'done
and most interesting.
Members are asked to come
prepared with ideas for making
money at the next meeting. Mrs.
R. Kinsman, the president,
chaired the business, opening
with a poem "They Say". Mrs.
G. McLean chaired the program.
Mrs. H. Caldwell was hostess and
Mrs. Charles Eyre was in charge
of the dessert lunch which
preceded the meeting. Mrs.
Ruby Bell gave courtesy remarks.
Kippen East is having a
surprise bus trip in June. Anyone
wishing to go should contact Mrs.
Robert . Bell or Mrs. Grant
MacLean. Space will be reserved
on a first come, first served basis.
