The Travelcade is a mobile sports information unit sponsored by the Ontario Ministry of Culture and Recreation in conjunction with Seaforth's Recreation Committee, Travelcade is a 45-foot long tractoru-ailer containing all the gadgets far mass education such as films, slides, video cassette recorders and microfilmed information. When the two rear doors of the trailer open, movies can be shown, The purpose of the travelcade is to encourage people to participate more fully in sports and to persuade them to join community sports programs. The travelcade is to be a learning experience for the sports-minded too. Three clinics will be held to help raise the level of expertise for coaches, officials, executives and, trainers in three different sports. The travelcade contains portable panels which can be erected outside to provide a classroom for the clinics. The travelcade will have staff members to help in the van and at the exterior clinic sites. Second was Kerr's Boy owned by Vicki and Shelly Horner of Brucefield with Jack Meriam of Goderich driving. Third was Goldies Hit owned by Terry Rutledge, and driven by Dennis Jewitt, both of Clinton. Out of the money was Dreambridge owned by,...Harold Jewell 'and driven by Bruce Volland, both of Goderich. The second race winner was Virginia's Misty owned by Robert and driven by Randy McLean.Time of the mile was 2:13. They are, left, John Coleman, high average, Alice Van Bakel, high triple, Cor Dorssers, triple, Ann Vdgeis, average and John Morris , single. Deanna Nobel was high single. John Coleman and Deanna Nobel were also on the season's winning team, along with Corry Segeren, Frances Van Drunen, Marie De. Kroon, and Hilda Menheere. Playoff winners were Hank Frerik0, Ann Vogels, John Menheere, Martha Claessens, Kevin Jewitt and John Jansen.
