The Seaforth Centenaires have
appointed their new coach for the
1975-76 hockey season. James
"Jim" Nigro of Stratford will take
the reins for the upcoming
season. Jim, a native of Stratford
played minor hockey and some
Junior in Stratford and
Intermediate "A" hockey in St. M
arys and Lucan.
Jim started coaching minor
hockey teams in Stratford in 1967
and for the last eight years. has
been coach of the Stratford
Juvenile All Star team. During
those eight seasons Jim's teams ;
have won four I4ague
championships, reached the
All-Ontario finals once, the
semi-finals twice and the quarater
finals once.
In 1973 Jim was awarded the
Sportsman of the Year award for
the City of Strat ford so the
Centenaires are proud and happy
to have him as coach. The team is
looking forward to the upcoming
season.-
The new manager Of the
Centenaires for the 1975-76
season will be Robert "Bob"
Dinsmore, a native' of Seat:hill
where he played all his minor.

in Seaforth last Friday, May 4.
In the midget girls high jump,
Lisa Aitchqon, from Stratford
Central, came in first with a jump
of 1.45 metres. Sue Jefferey, from
Goderich, came in second place
with a jump of 1.45 metres and
Jean Siertsema, from Central
Huron, came in third place with a
jump of 1.4 metres.
In the, midget girls shot put
event, Mary De Bruyn, from
F.E.Madill, came in first place
with a throWof 9.41 metres.,Hilda
Witja, from. Seaforth, came , in
snd, with a throw of 8.91

F. Mill, came in third place
tvith a throw of 8.79 metres.
In the midget girls discus
event, .,ilea Wynja, from
Seaforth' came in first with a

23.19 metres, and Terry Flowers
from Central H uron, came in
third place with a throw of 20.94
metres.
As for the junior girls, in the
long 'jump event, Maxine Watts
from F.E.Madill, came in first
place with a jump of 4.21 metres.
Ann Janmaat, from Seaforth,
came in second place, with a jump
of 4.18 metres. Maureen
Delaney, also from Seaforth. came
in third, with a jump of 3.92
metres.
In the junior girls high jump,
Linda Stock from Stratford
Central, came in first plaCe with a
jump of 1.58 metres. Cindy

with the new coach hopes to see
some new faces in the
Centenaires ,line-up. any
interested. players are asked to
phone Bob at 527-1224 so that
they can be introduced to the new
coach and put on a summer
training program.

with a throw of 28.74 metres and

throw of 28.47 metres.
And last but pot least are the
senior girls. In the senior girls
long jump, Ruth Hansford, from
Stratford Central, came in first ,
with a jump of 4.27-,metres. In
second place, came Sharon
Colclough, from Central Huron,
with a jump of 4.25 metres. June
Williamson, from Seaforth, came
in third, with a • jump of 3.93
metres. .

The Egmondville team, who
were first until the last night,
