ness. Mrs. Gordon Aikens
thanked the speaker and per-
sented her with a gift.

the absence of the president,

Darrell and Dale had visited, with
their dad, Mr. Lorne Wolfe who

Meeting 7 was held at Mrs.
Moylan's house. Everyone
answered the roll call which was
"Tell one Way in Which you
Have Learned to Improve your
Wardrobe". Mrs. Moylan
demonstrated how to make a
button hole. Lynn also did one.
Lunch was served by Denise
Lane.

Meeting 8 of the Stylish
Stitchers was on April 22. The roll
call was answered by each
member deciding to have two
meetings for our Achievement
Day skit. The first one will be held
on April 39. At meeting 8 we
were shown how to put in a
zipper; then everyone helped put
in one. Lunch was served by Judy
Dorsey.

The piano pupils of Mrs.
Eleanor .Horst held their April
music club, last week at the home
of Mts. Robert Robinson, R.R.
4Walton. 124mpils and 8 mothers
were present to hear the piano
selections of each pupil. Miss
Joanne Effigson was a , guest
performer and played Debussey's
"The Minstrel". She also spokes
briefly to the pupils about good
practise habits and led the
children in a sing song. Lunch
was served by Mrs. Robinson who
hosted this month's club.
Steven Horst accompanied the
hockey team, the Monkton Lions'
on an overnight, fishing 'trip to
Ripley. Mrs. Gordon Ragers and
Mery Quipp were in charge of the
outing. .
Miss Rebecca Rock, Darthmoth
and Miss Sally Seghers Vienna
spent the weekend with Mr. and
Mrs.- Edwin Rock. They were
students ' at Western University
London and will spend the
summer months with their
parents.
There were beautiful flowers on
the alter at St. Peter's from the
Elligson and Bender Wedding on
Saturday.
Mrs. Carl Hillebrecht's friends
will be glad. to hear . she has
returned home from the Stratford
General Hospital where she
underwent surgery:

teams in the minor soccer league -
Bantam, Peewee and Musquitos
and are hard at practice for the
season's opener in about 10 days.
The field here has been repaired
and rolled and they are hoping for
•good fan support. (More on this

W.M.S. was held at the hoine of
Mrs. Thos. L. Scott. Mrs. Grace
Scott, presiding, opened the '
meeting with a poem. The Hymn,
Our Joy, was sung. The scripture
lesson, Hebrews 6: 1'-20 was read
in unison followed by prayer.'
'Mrs. Calder. McKaig received and
dedicated the offering. The third
chapter of the study book, Rural
Routes, was presented by Mrs.
Mervin Dow, assisted by Mrs. M.
Lamond, Mrs. McKaig, Mrs. J.
Jefferson and Mrs. T. L. Scott.
The topic,. In the Land of _the
North, was taken by Mrs. Jeffer-
son. Seven members answered
the roll call, • Life. A special
number, Pictures on a Health
Project, was presented by every-
one. Hymn 141, We Plough the
Fields and Scatter, was sung and
Mrs. Thos. Scott closed the
meeting with prayer.
