Studenft ..prepare for spring
Gerbils! Gerbils! Gerbils!
Before the snow storm, three
gerbilugot out of their cage. Mr.
Eisler, the care-taker found the
father alive and well in the
garbage can. There were still two
missing.
After two weeks of searching
we were ready to give up. Mrs.
Bell came in and said there was a
gerbil in her cupboard eating a
calendar that showed a picture of
Jamaica. The Mother gerbil was
back and the baby gerbils were
happy-
The other baby gerbil that is
missing was seen in the cupboard
in Room 7. Mr. Bishop has set a
trap with sunflower seeds to see if
he can catch it. Children from the
junior grades come in after school
to play with the nine gerbils. We
hope to have the baby gerbil back
soon.

Report on Lighting & Sounds
This group is working hard and
trying to create sounds for the
play. They have hooked up flood
lights and the group has been
divided into seperate groups to
get things done faster.
They haven't figured how to set
up the scenery lighting yet. A
group has to figure out how to
create a real looking fire for one of
the scenes.
Mr, Bishop feels as if he, was in
a real production. In one of the
'scenes fog comes whirrling out
onto the stage, Mr. Bishop and
Mr. Carter think they could, use
more students but they, are
managing all right. Everyone is
pitching in to solve the ,problems.
The equipment is coming in fast.
Mr. Carter is too shy to say
anything to 'the reporter right
now.

Miss Hoekstra Is Back
Miss Hoekstra was in the
hospital because her leg was
operated on. She was gone for 4
weeks and we missed her a lot.
She came back on Monday, April
21, 1975. We were glad to see her
when she came back. Now she is
our own teacher but She still has
to use a cane for a few days. We
are very glad because she is here.
