music through the years program,, a. tribute to

A SING SONG FROM THE '60's AND '70'S A m odern type hootenany finishes
'off almost 100 years of music in a program at St. Columban School this afternoon.
The program is In honour of Seaforth's Centennial and marks Education Week at
the school. Grade 7 and 8 students are singing Country Roads, Blowing in the Wind

IN MY MERRY OLDSMOBILE — Grades 1 and 2 at St. Columban School have
been learning songs from the Gay Nineties for a music through the years program
that they are presenting for parents today as part of Education Week at the school.
Heart of my Heart, and In the Good Old Summertime are among the songs that are

SINGERS FROM ST. PATS — These Grade 7 and 8 girls from St. Patrick's School,
Dublin won the J.D.SThpless Triple Trio trophy for their performance at the Kiwanis
MusiC Festival in Stratford last week. The singers are, left, MaryDeweese, Sally
O'Rourke, Joan Bruxer, Fiona Sheperd, Diane Deloyer, Barb Eckert, Betty Ann
Krobnen and Ruthy McCreight. Susy -Brosens was absent when the photo was
taken, Caroline Costello and Lorie Olsthoorn placed first in a duet for girls 11 and
under. A double trio from grades 7 and 8 placed first and an unconducted ensemble
from Grades 4,5 & 6,2nd in other Stratford Music Festival competitions.

TOURNAME T CHAMPS — Teams from Dublin. St-, Patrick's School, won the
Junior A and the senior B championships in the Knights of Columbus Minor
Hockey tournament in Seaforth recently. With their coach Ferg Kelly, right, are

DOUBLE WINNERS — Members of this St.
Patrick's, Dublin team were the senior B champs at
the K of C Tournament. Most of the players were
also members of a Mitchell team which won the
Sportsmanship . League trophy there. George
Ducharrne, right coached the Sportsmanship team
and Ron Murray coached the school team .
