It began in the 60's [the 1860's
that is] when Robert_LLnnsden.
eStablished a drug store to sery the
Seaton!) ComMunity.
Following a policy of service and
satisfaction the business prospered -r%N.
and within a few years became
Ludisden and Wilson when Alexander
Wilson, a Seaforth native joined it.
Still later on the retirement of Mr.
Lumsden, r. Wilson took over the
business which he carried onuntil
1916 when it was sold to E. Umbacit .
Then in 1923 J. E. Keating came to
Seaforth and now for 46 years,
Keating's Pharmacy has served an
ever increasing clientele. Since the
death of ' Mr. Keating in 1967 his
daughter, Mrs. D. L. Hoover, who
had been associated with her, father,
has carried on the business.
Resisting a trend which .sees more
and more smaller' towns denied the
services f'o a -qualified pharmacist,
Reating's Pharinacy, has continued a
regular program of modernization' to
ensure that the Seaforth community
will receive the very best and most up
