MAIN ST. IN THE EARLY 1900'S — The ruts left by wagon wheels on dirt Main St.
are clearly visible in this old post card picture. The woman in the buggy at the main
intersection is Mrs. William Johnston of McKillop, mother of Mrs.Russell Bolton.
Mrs. Bolton said her'mother was on her way to the Royal Stables around the corner
(where Bill McLaughlin Motors Ltd. is n ow) and the horse would always put his
ears back and rush when he knew he was headed for the_ stables.
