ISSUE NO. 2 HAMILTON, ONTARIO MAY 6, 1975, 9:30 A.M. The CSnadian Radio-Television Commission will hold a public hearing beginning on May 6, 1975 at the Holiday Inn, 150 King Street East, -Hamilton, Ontario to consider the following matters: „ , • - 'MITCHELL AND SEAFORTH, ONTARIO (750098600) John C. Ward, 175 Wallace Street North, Listowel, Ontario. Application to amend its cable television broadcasting -li- cence for Mitchell and Seaforth, Ontario. — to increase its monthly fee from $5.50 to $6.50. The above are maximum rates, however, the applicant has special rates for extra outlets, FM service, commercial estab- lishments, and these are detailed in the application. Locations where the application may be examined: Town Hall. Seaforth, Ontario Town Hall, Mitchell. Ontario. INFORMATION ON APPLICATIONS Right to comment: Anyone may lodge a complaint with or make any representation to the Commission with respect to any Matter within the powers of the Commission that is not directed to any application by submitting a brief submission setting out the nature of the complaint or representation to the undersigned. Anyone may submit comments on any application by submit- ting a written intervention to the undersigned at 100 Metcalfe Steet, Ottawa, Ontario K1A ON2 and by serving a true copy to the intervention upon the applicant on or before April 21, 1975. The intervention shall contain a clear and concise statement of the relevant facts and the grounds upon which the interve- nor's support for, opposition to or proposed modification of the application' is based. Be sure to attach the postal or messenger receipt to the copy for the CRTC, giving proof that the applicant has received his copy. Mr. William Govier was welcomed to the club and following games of euchre and crokinole, lunch was served by the Walkerburn Club volunteers .from Auburn, The "Family Night" program was provided by Albert Craig of Bayfield assisted by Mrs. Henderson and Norman Speir of the Home. Albert sang several country and western favourites and led a sing-a-long of requests. Mrs. Buchanan thanked the entertainers on behalf of the residents. Correspondent Mrs. John Templeman Achievement Day for the 4-It Homemaking Club "Clothes for Leisure" was held Saturday, April 12 at Kirkton Community. Centre with Staffa #1 participat- ing. Leaders for this club were: Mrs, Spencer Jeffery and Mrs. George Vivian.' The girls from Staffa #1 modelled the garments they had made with Teresa Diehl. the commentator. They had an exhibit set up on "Variety in Leisurewear" with Nancy Templeman giving , the comments. Marion Smale and Nancy Templeman each received their county honour pins and certifi- cates for successfully completing six homemaking clubs. Vanastra Tennis Club planned Correspondent Mrs. Karen Lehner:. Swimming programs began April 7. Many classes and groups were popular and some have been divided so all registrations can be accepted. There are now 5 ladies gym and swim sessions. If you wish to register, the Wednesday ladies- swim and gym can accept more people. Babysitting at 50 cents per child is available while these sessions are in progress. Registrations still, will be accepted for the young children's programs and the Bronze Medal- lion olass. Staffa Women's Institute served lunch to those attending the Umpire Clinic at Staffa Hall on Saturday. Mary Parson is spending a few days with Janice Vivian, while her, parents Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Parsons , are holidaying in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pamela Wallace visited on the weekend with Elizabeth Temple- man at the same home Saturday were Geraldine Templeman, Rob and Beverly Templeman, Strat- ford and Dave and Joanne Capling, Mississauga.
