symbols on the Legion crest and
said how pleased he was to see
such a good turn out at the
meeting.
The Membership chairman;
Allan Nicholson, stated the per-
sonal satisfaction he felt at' seeing
so many new members joining the
Branch, at which point Comrade
Dick Eisler moved a vote of
thanks to Comrade Nicholson, for
the wonderful job ha has done as
membership chairman.
Comrade Fred Tilker conducted
the closing ceremonies.

district, were in Peterborough
last week attending the funeral of
the late Victor Nimmo, who
passed away suddenly at his
home in Millbrook. His wife is
the former Elizabeth McCowap of
Roxbdro.
Mrs. B. Brough of Parkhill
spent a few days last week with
Mr. and Mrs. Peter McCown,
Mrs. Arnold Stinnissen has
returned home after visiting
relatives in Holland.'
Mrs. E. M. Burtenshaw of
Kent England and her son
Nicholas of 'Surrey, England are
visiting with Mrs. Burtenshaw's
brother, Mr. R. W. Newnhani.

4 'x 4 Wheel Drive Club
Join a 4 x 4 wheel club. Open to owners of any 4 wheel drive
vehicle that islicensed by the Ministry of Transportation and
carries a brand name either a bob tail or long box 4 x 4 pick
up.
The club will be out to make fhe organization a family affair
to as great a degree as possible and to promote the sport and
past time of four wheel drive travel in all its phases.
• 'The 'Club plans to organize and sponsor outings, runs,
excursions, reliability trials, rallies, hill climbs, cross country
trips and similar events.

The Ladies Auxiliary served a
