of Christ was announced to the
shepherds they made haste to
leave their flocks and hurtled to
Bethelehem. When the women
discovered that Jesus was ho
longer in the tomb, they hurried
away and ran to tell the Disciples.
As the women hurl ied from the
tomb, they hurried from • the
darkness of death into the
lightness of life.
The message of the
Resurrection is a message of hope
for those who mourn loved ones,
Mr. Anderson said. Again as the
women hurried away, they
hurried away from dwelling in the
past, into dealing in _ the
future.The Disciples realized that
how important the past was, the
Church was commissioned to win
the future for Jesus Christ. He is
going before you into Galilee.
There you will see him. This was
the message the women were to
bring to the Disciples. The call of
Christ is to follow WM into the
future. He is not h ere, 'He is'
risen, He is moving on, as we
seek him we shall find him in the
contemporary situation whether it
be in Vietnam with the refugees
in the middle east, or in any
troubled place in the world. May
we as Christians follow the risen
Christ, follow him into the future,
into new adventures in his name,
as-he leads into areas of need into
a world that is crying out for a
message. of hope, comfort and
consolation.,
