Girl Wins High Bowling for Ladles Suzanne 'Ritchie, daughter of Mrs. Olive Marshman of New Toronto, won the highest award in bowling for ladies recently at the March Classic Tournament of Bowling held at the Fleetway 40 Bowling Alley in London. Hensall Girl .Guide Company held a skating party in the Hensall arena recently. 'iVisitors were a Company from the Salvation Army Girl Guides in London, and 'a company from the Exeter Girl Guides. About 60 girls were in attendance. After skating, , everyone met at the Hensall United Church for the closing campfire. Members of Hensall Curling, Club met Monday evening at Vanistra Curling Club for their annual meeting, with President Harold Caldwell - presiding. Winner of. Curling for the year were announced, Bob Caldwell and his team of Eudora Caldwell, Alex and Ethel McMurtrie were the over all winners with the most points and were awarded the Goodwin . Trophy. He was the husband of Ruth Jessome, father of Raymond of London, Buddy of Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, Robbin, North Sydney, " Npva Scotia, Ramona (Mrs., Jack Matthews) of Seaforth, Starr of Toronto, Carol (Mrs. Rick Potvin) of Ottawa and Cathy of Toronto. Two brothers, Harry of Sea- forth and Sid of Toronto and one sister, Leana of Toronto and 9 grandchildren. The funeral ser- vice „was held at the Transfigura- tion of our Lord Church in Toronto. Interment at Assump- 'tion Cemetery. Pallbearers were, Peter Robinson of Toronto, Paul Matthews, Seaforth, Sid Hillard, Toronto, Bill Kee, Toronto, Wayne Gould, Toronto and Teddy O'Shanase, Toronto. WILLIAM HERBERT McINTOSII A former well known Biucefield resident William Herbert McIntosh died at Huronview on Monday. He was 93. He was the last surviving member of his family but is survived by a number of cousins. The remains rested at the Ball Funeral Home, Clinton until Wednesday when funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Interment followed in Baird's Cemetery, Stanley Township. . ALFRED HAROLD FOWLER The death occurred at Huronview on Monday of Alfred Harold (Harry) Fowler. He was in his 88th year. He was predeceased by his wife the former-Emma Johnstone. He is survived by daughters Mrs. Dynes- (Edna) Campbell, of Dungannon, Mrs. Ken (Lorraine) Scott, Brucefield, Mrs. George (Ba) Bancroft, Leamington, Mrs. Cass (Beatrice) Zemenick, Troy, Mich., Mrs. Jack (Lois) D'Angelollo, Arlington Heights, and sons, Gordon of Giiderich, Harold of St.. Helen's and Henson of Glencoe. He also is sttrvived by two sisters, Mrs. May Seabutg, Toronto and Mrs. Gladys Marchand. Stephens of Brucefield conducted Easter Worship Service at Seaforth Manor on Good Friday at 10:30 a.m. Over forty residents attended and heard the, message "By his stripes are we healed". Rev. Stephens ,also led in - singing three favourite hymns of our reside'nts, accompanying himself at the piano, "When I Survey the Wondrous 'Cross", "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Jesus Love Me". Correspondent. Mrs.Joyce Pepper Hensall United Church Notes About 100 people turneeout to the Easter Sunrise service in Hensall United Church early Sunday morning. John Blackwell presided at the organ and Rev. Don Beck delivered the message. A delicious breakfast of bacon and eggs and home made hot cross buns was enjoyed at the conclusion of the service. Gail Travers sang a solo accompanied on the piano by Tom Travers. Rev. Don Beck preached .on the sermon topic - "And yet we believe", for the Celebration of Easter service. The choir sang two numbers accompanied on the organ by Mts. Turkheim, The lilies' were in memory of the late Mr. and Mrs.Victor Fee. St. Paul's Anglican Church Holy Communion was celebrated at St. Paul's Anglican Church by the Rev.G. A. Ander- son. The text of the sermon was from Matthew 28, verse 8. The Easter church service in Carmel Presbyterian church was largely attended on Sunday when' Rev. W. D. Jarvis delivered an inspiring Easter message. The choir under the direction of Mrs. Malcom Dougall sang "Christ is Risen". The Sunday School members are invited to sing in the choir on Mother's Day, May 11th.. The message of the Resurrection is a message of hope for those who mourn loved ones, Mr. Anderson said. Again as the women hurried away, they hurried away from dwelling in the past, into dealing in _ the future.The Disciples realized that how important the past was, the Church was commissioned to win the future for Jesus Christ. He is going before you into Galilee. There you will see him. This was the message the women were to bring to the Disciples. The call of Christ is to follow WM into the future. He is not h ere, 'He is' risen, He is moving on, as we seek him we shall find him in the contemporary situation whether it be in Vietnam with the refugees in the middle east, or in any troubled place in the world. May we as Christians follow the risen Christ, follow him into the future, into new adventures in his name, as-he leads into areas of need into a world that is crying out for a message. of hope, comfort and consolation., The Easter Church service was conducted last Tuesday by Rev- Snell of Exeter, accompanied by Louise Mitchell on the piano. MISS BESSIE MacKAY Miss Bessie Jane MacKay died at Huronview on Saturday. She was 89. Born in Tuckersmith,7 the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter MacKay she was the last surviving member of the family. She had lived ' het life' in - Tuckersmith until she moved to Huronview a few years ago. A brother, John MacKay, died iii July of last year. She 'is survived by cousins. Funeral services were conducted on Monday by Rev, E.C.Nelson of First Presbyterian Church from the G.A.Whitney Funeral Home, Seaforth, on Monday !afternoon. Temporary interment followed in Pioneer Mausoleum with burial to follow in 'Maitlandbank Cemetery. EDWARD KRAUSKOPF Edward J. Krauskopf, 88, of Kilbarchan Nursing Home in Seaforth and formerly of Dublin, died on Sunday. Born in McKillop, he attended school at Beechwood. He is survived by a sister, Agnes Krauskopf, of Marian Villa nursing home, in London. The body was at the R.S.Box funeral home in Seaforth. .The funeral mass was in St. Patrick's Rciman Catholic Church in Dublin Tuesday conducted by Rev. T.G.Dill at 11 a.m..
