'BUDGET'
...IS LEANER because it is fed on gross
or silage which produces beet with a
much lower fat content. 'Budget' Beef is
ideal for those who ore concerned with
their cholesterol levels.
„.IS GUARANTEED TENDER because it is
mechanically tenderized at a central
processing plant by a Ross tenderizing
machine containing 518 tiny needle-like
knives which invisibly sever the
connective tissue of the meat. This
machine odds nothing to the meat,
takes nothing away, causes no change
in taste, texture or colour. No
chemicals or other additives ore used.
..,COOKS QUICKER, Because it is
mechanically tenderized, the natural
juices flow more freely through the
meat thereby reducing the cooking
time. We recommend the use of a good
meat thermometer to monitor the
cooking,
...IS PRICED LOWER because it can be
produced at considerably reduced costs
to the primary beef producer. 'Budget'
beef can be marketed at prices 20' to
40' per pound lower than Grade 'A'
beef.

A number of used cars from 1966 to 1969,
recently made a. case for yield
signs on rural roads as a safety
measure and'vve certainly concur.
McKillop Township has had the
signs, dii'side roads there for
sometime. It makes one feel just a
little safer to see those signs
there, and realize that even
drivers who aren't used •to rural
roads will not go sailing through
intersections.
We don't know. if the recent
letter .in our ,.columns ,columns had
anything to do , with • their

hats off to Tuckersmith and

Speaking ;of letters to the
editor, last . week's Expositor
broke 'the record for the rieilrly
two years that we've been
working here,. with three, topical'
and thought pioveking letters, to
the edit,or., encouraging to see
important local issues being
'talked about and argued out in
these columns.
A lively editorial page is one
sign of an' alert and interested
community.- We are glad to
publish letters on almost any
topic, subject to libel restrictions;'
of course, but we insist that the
-letter writer .sign her or his name.
A Aetter writer may request that
his or her name not be published,
but the identity of the persdn
writing must be known to the
editor. Anonymous letters cannot
be' printed.
Within those few guidelines,'
including the proviso that we
reserve the right to edit Jetters for
length and grammar, letters to,

haven't frightened' you off with
our, rules and regulations, feel
free to write..
