an illustrated talk on the World
Conference which he attended in

in Sarnia last Tuesday. Mrs.
Phillips is a cousin of Mrs.

each other for over forty years.

MISS HAZEL REID
Hazel Elizabeth Reid, passed
away in Seaforth Community
Hospital, on Friday, 'February 7,
1975. The daughter of the late J.
F. Reid and his wife Annie
Dawson, Miss ,his is survived by
one sister Martha, Mrs.Frank A.
Cudmore of Wallaceburg and one
brother Reg. of Stratford, three
nieces and one nephew,. She was
predeceased by, three brothers,.
Ralph (Dave) Dalton (Dot)., and
Dawson (Davis).
Miss Reid was born and lived
her entire life in Se,aforth. She
attended Seaforth Public School
and received her business
education .at Seaforth Collegiate
Institute. During a lengthy
business career, which was
interrupted for a thirteen year
intery al during which time she
cared for her invalid• mother, she-
worked for many local' business
men. After graduation, her first
job was in the Alex Wilson's Drug
Store. She then spent many years.
as bookkeeper for the Canada
Furniture Company under
Messrs. W.T.Box, James
Ferguson and J.H.Reid. She also
worked in the Dominion Bank
with Messrs. Murless Jones and
E.C.Boswell as Managers and
with Stewart Bros. She kept boas
for Sills Hardware , W. J. Duncan
and for the Boshart Furniture
Factory.
In her. younger years she
enjoyed lawn bowling and tennis.
Miss ,Reid • was interested in
•the community and was active in
the organization of the 1955 and
1968 Seaforth reunions.
Miss Reid was a member of
First Presbyterian Church and for
many years sang in the choir.
The body rested at the R.S.Box
Funeral Home, High St., .
until Monday, Feb. 10th - 2 p.m.
when services were conducted by
the Rev. E G. Nelson of First
Presbyterian Church. Interment
was in Maitlandbank Cemetery:
